Re: Ex Players

Sunderland interested in Liam Kelly. Must admit Parkinson and Kelly doesn’t exactly seem the best fit... But I still maintain if we gave Kelly a proper run in a performing team, he could have been a useful asset for us. We’re reaping the benefits for Swift, being patient when quite frankly he was t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Ibrahima Sonko

We can play that game - lets ignore the Fulham game and the Birmingham game for fairness to Bowen. Gomes 13 in 10 (10 scored) Bowen 7 in 9 (12 scored) So taking away the abberation games, defence much improved - conceding less that 1 a game now which is actually promotion form esp with a +5 GD - Go...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Ibrahima Sonko

Yeah. And under Gomes the structure of the defence was a shambles and we were being carved open at will. Now we're mostly solid with the occasional lapse, just like most of the rest of the division. You've seen goals coming under Bowen, but not because teams are running through us and creating lots...

Re: Rival Watch

FFS this constant bitching is boring and ruining a decent thread. I’m pleased to see the Fulham promotion charge faltering - a bit similar to our mid table charge. I’m not sure if Hector is a good signing for them or not, their defence still looks suspect and whilst he’s a good enough ball player, ...

Re: Record Watch 2019/20

Swindon are 9 points behind the required run rate. They can still get 117 Bradford, if they win their two games in hand, would be on the same points as Swindon. Do Bradford have a recall option on Eoin Doyle? I think they can. The consensus I get is that Doyle doesn’t suit Bradford’s style so he ha...

Re: CONFIMRED - Charlie Adam

Head and shoulders grew into our best player against Barnsley. BUT Barnsley are awful and the easiest team we will play. We were lucky not to be 4-0 down before started stamping his authority on the game. Start him agains a decent team and he won’t have the time to for his brilliant passes. He has ...

Re: Rival Watch

WBA are better than Leeds Doesn't really matter, they are both as good as up. Clubs below them too inconsistant to close the gap unless one or other fall off a cliff. Rewind 12 months ago, Leeds were 10 points ahead of Sheffield United, United were inconsistent and everyone thought it was Leeds’ ye...

Re: BFTG Stoke

So, pretty horrific then if we're honest. 37points over the season, dead cert relegation. My farts are an improvement on how Gomes finished, that's irrelevant. And you're talking a cherry picked 6 games ignoring the best run. Win the next game and it all looks quite different again. That's the prob...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Ibrahima Sonko

How? I am literally stating my surprise that it is not an issue. Over xmas I will go back and watch each game and give you a breakdown with time stamps if you want but for example Obita had a pass completion rate of 38% against Preston. That certainly seems calamitous to me. You call the defence ca...

URZZZZ If VAR is going to continue, one way they can improve it is getting rid of the ridiculous handball rule, whoever thought that would be a good idea!

Which one of yesterday’s decisions has riled you ?
Presumably the Villa one

West Ham one

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Ibrahima Sonko

In the last game we conceded a goal by passing it across the goalmouth.... Every game there is something stupid like poor passes back to the GK or tackles made for no reason. You'll find defensive lapses in most teams. There are 15 teams who have conceded more goals than us and 2 on the same amount...
