With 18,000 ST holders, there are a lot of old Reading fans coming back into the fold, but I would also say that there are a few who have one eye on another team, but will go to see Premiership football anyhow. Not that I have a problem with that, I just hope that if the wheels fall off (which I hop...

It's not for want of trying. Ideally we'd have a couple more new players than we have now but it must be extremely difficult to attract quality players to a club who is playing their first season in the top flight. Coppell is a very astute man, he knows his football 100% and he is not going to buy p...

It's not a witch hunt, I'm just interested as to why some people can support two teams. I don't, I only support Reading. So you ran around as a kid wearing a Liverpool kit SpaceLOLoser If I had known that there was a Reading Football Club when I was a kid, then I wouldn't have done so. So you did s...

southbank1871 I used to follow Forest, but Reading always came first. I still look out for their results and will watch them if they're on TV

I don't think that would be supporting 2 clubs in my book.
I look out for results of other teams because of old mates, ex's etc.

Do you support more than one club?

I'm not talking about liking the way a team plays, I mean support.

I mean switching allegiance.
I mean changing your mind growing up.

Reading this forum there seems to be people who have more than one club in their hearts.

It would be interesting to know why.

As somebody said earlier he has played up front so it's good news that we have another striker and don't go with just the 4. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shane Long loaned out to a Championship side to get more regular football. With the new man also able to play out wide (as can Long and Doyle) ...

Singing and chanting at Reading FC

Can anyone remember their first chant.

Mine was Maurice Evans Blue and White army, but it must go further back than that...

Hoopefully the older or more knowledgable Reading fan can beat that.

Finch is clutching at straws again  Who cares who used less players  It's like saying United's 15 titles is better than Liverpool's 18, because their best ever side was destroyed in 1958  The people have spoken, the title, fa cup and cl is the only real treble, the rest, whilst bei...

Another manipulation This poll is farced. I am not saying man utd's is not more prestigous, just Liverpool's in '84 was tougher due to the 3 more games they played, 13 fewer players they used and a new manager at the helm that season, therefore a greater achievement than '99. As I said, I do...

Other factor you have to remeber is that Liverpool had to play teams that were winning European cups and UEFA cups in that era in the league. Manchester United arguably had a relatively weaker field to beat for the title. However comparisons of cups, leagues, etc 15 years apart are kind of meaningl...

Definitely yes.

100%.

But I feel VERY sorry for the long-standing fans (with young kids in tow or not) who now will be financially pushed out.
