Re: BFTG - West Ham

I rarely agree with you, floyd, but I can't find a word to disagree with there. Ratings (all marks boosted because I'm so glad we hung on): Feds 8.5- kept them out, claimed some tricky shots. Lucky that Vaz Te missed though. Gunter 7- good enough, got forward well, made a few good tackles Pearce 9- ...

Re: REF AT WEST HAM HOME

No, that match was just impossible to referee. If he was biased, he wouldn't have booked Tomkins for dissent, and wouldn't have allowed Hunt to keep the ball in the corner. West Ham were going down at every opportunity, and there were a few off the ball incidents that you couldn't expect him to see....

Re: Gunter v's Cummings

Played in both our clean sheets this season But those were at home to two incredibly defensive sides. If Michu had scored after Gunter had chested the ball to him, and believe you me there was nothing Gunter could do to stop him scoring at that point, then we wouldn't have kept a clean sheet. You c...

Re: THE LEGEND MIKE GOODING SUGGESTED

RFC13LHR he's not doing well where he is - wanders in and out of the game

He's doing perfectly fine.

The reason he's in and out of the game is because- shock horror- he's a winger. Most of them don't do much with the ball whenever it is on the other side of the pitch.

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

Last season Michel Vorm made a couple of mistakes in his first three or four matches.

By the end of the season, he was being talked about as one of the best performing goalkeepers of the season, alongside Hart and Krul.

Born 'n Bred Royal Well this couldn't happen because the transfer window doesn't open til the 1st January....

That doesn't matter. You can sign a player whenever you want, you just can't play them until the next transfer window opens.

Re: Jobi jeered when subbed - drop or not to drop?

Jobi is clearly a cut above HRK (though I do like HRK). He has four assists this season, the same as some of the most creative players in the league like Santi Cazorla, David Silva and Nicky Shorey (;)). He is far better defensively than HRK and a better passer. We could try McCleary on the left, b...

Feds has the best kicks and throws, power and accuracy both better than McCarthy.
McCarthy makes better decisions with his distribution.

Re: Rumour - Huddlestone on loan

Rumours going around that Spurs have agreed terms with Sneijder.... Makes this move more plausible.... Or perhaps now Sigurdsson going on loan somewhere... Utterly no hope. Let it drop. If Sneijder comes in, Sigurdsson is more likely than Huddlestone because Sneijder plays in Sigurdsson's position....

Re: If Arshavin comes in, where does he fit in?

If he did come (I don't think he will, it is just lazy journalism) then I'd probably want him on the left wing in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. I'd also accept playing behind the striker, but Arshavin does so little defensively that we might as well be playing 4-4-2 then.

Re: Reading v Swansea - Sponsored By New Wembley

Not sure what some felt HRK offered that Jobi didn't. Not saying HRK was bad, just that he did exactly the same things...worked hard, tracked back, had little opportunity to go forward. I didn't think that at all. I thought HRK was playing in a more advanced position than Jobi and was getting close...

I think they do as well as could be expected. The best way to make things easier for them wo...

I really don't think the opinions of ex-players are to be trusted. These are the same men who think that it is okay to kick someone in the chest if you aren't looking.

the slowest moving man in the world, Mikele Leigertwood Amazing how "the world" seems to consist solely of people who are currently in Reading's starting XI. Brynjar Gunnarsson was the slowest man in the world. Then Ivar Ingimarsson was. Then Andy Griffin. Then Ian Harte. Now Mikele Leige...

I heard it was a bit of a lightning bolt, there was thunderous applause, Bolton's defence looked like they had just survived a hurricane.
