Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h)

Could be worse - ball looked like it went out just before our goal.

Still not good to be having problems in defense. Reminds me of that series of games last Fall when opponents were putting 3-4 past us (albeit Moore was out injured). Maybe good to work out the problems early.

Zip
PremAddict Overall a decent performance. Even with the loss it was worth my fiver. I've never heard oppo commentators so politely biased as the Palace ones.

Who played well/badly in your view?

Most were a 6. Still have problems in the final third. Red card was soft. Pen was soft.

Re: George Puscas To Be Loaned Out

An acknowledgement that he doesn't fit into the 1-up-top model that Pauno prefers? Given Joao's injury issues, it sure would be nice if we could manage two types of attack formations that could include Puscas and one other. Might also solve issues with other teams basically solving us by just taking...

Re: Pre-season games 2021/2022

Overall I think the match was a success judged on giving a lot of players an opportunity to face tough competition: West Ham finished 6th. I'm sure Pauno learned a lot and the case was made on where to strengthen. A highlight: Azeez looked great.

Re: Pre-season games 2021/2022

Thought we played pretty well considering. Raphael made a few smart stops and thought Dorsett was very good before the unlucky own goal. Morro put in his usual shift - as did Rino and Laurent. We looked terribly exposed on the left - so not sure about Lazaar. Thought Azeez did very well and was the...

Anyone else get notice of a charge from EFL only to have it refunded and then a "sorry to see you go" email? :?:

Re: Pauno out

Kind of a knee-jerk-reaction thread. He obviously did something positive that neither Gomes nor Bowen could accomplish. But he should be questioned about what he's learned and plans to change. It's up to his bosses to ensure he does a good job.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

I have written on this subject before and after last nights game many of you have voiced similar comments . PLAYING OUT FROM THE BACK ! I believe in retaining possession , the only team that can score is the one with the ball , but your chances to score are greater , the nearer you are to the oppos...

Sutekh 75 mins of football and still waiting for Reading to get a shot on target.

As Mick said, "no end product".

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h)

Tough as it is to take, there is a certain inevitability that in the unlikely event we’d made the top six we have been pretty easily brushed aside. Not being in it gives a couple of extra weeks planning for next season. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This We need more time to figure this out - extending this seas...

Last post tonight. WTF was VP thinking with dropping Richards and the subs that are always too little too late? He's got a lot to learn. Let's hope he does so.

This is more of what I expected for the 2nd half. Nothing.

And who really thought we'd get anything from this game? So I'm going to have a beer and that's that.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (a)

This doesn't look like 2-0 ball. If Watford come out in the second like they played the last 30min, then they're crazy - was expecting them to go full throttle and finish it.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (a)

Funny - was simulating the game on FIFA last night, first with World Class setting - got skunked 4-0. Then downgraded to Professional and won a nervy 3-2.

So game over...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

windermereROYAL you won`t see a worse miss anywhere, I think Joao has single handedly cost us a play-off .

And without him, we wouldn't even be in contention.
