Re: Pauno out

Every Reading fan should care if we go down. It continues the downward spiral from where we were in the naughties.
It will mean even lower gates and runs the risk of our owners walking away and the club going under.
It’s crucial we don’t go down.

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

The consensus at the time was that Moore was a significant step up when we signed him and was good value at £1m. Quicker than McShane, more experienced and less error prone than Cooper and more consistent than Ilori. The mistake was not selling him when we had the change and offering him a vastly i...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Give me the names and I'll tell you which ones. And I don't just mean CBs - I'm prepared to concede that at the time it may have been 50% more than colleagues as shit. McShane Ilori O’Shea Good McShane was better. Ilori was about on a par. His errors were more obvious and explosive. Everyone here o...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

I can't be arsed to go back and check who played in which season. That’s a disappointing response master Royal. You are usually a little Rottweiler on such matters. He is a huge cost to the club but for the first couple of years was a very good centre back. He has seriously fallen away since then ....

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Bollox. You think the club just offered him the wage without being told that's what it takes from his agent? And for the record, no I wouldn't say yes to being offered twice the wage of colleagues doing the same job who are better than me. Who was better than him at the time he signed the new deal?...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

You forgot to mention he is one of a very few members of the squad who is usually fit to play. True and he only accepted what he was offered as we all would. Bollox. Re: Relegation

Bookmakers know. I had a quick look before the Millwall game thinking that they may be conned by our league position and give us long odds, but the best available was 5/2 which made us 5th favourites after Derby, Barnsley, Hull and Peterborough. So long as we don't get cut adrift, I'd back a fully ...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

1. It won’t. Reading will still be embargoed next season as the roll over of seasons continues. 2. In fact things could be worse next season as I believe the ground and hogwood sales are taken out of the computations? Not sure though whether that might mean another points deduction as the FL have s...

Re: Pauno out

I don't know why people think we would do badly in league one. The financial problems the club have are only with FFP. Yes, getting relegated would mean that our highest paid would go, but they now represent a minority of our squad. We appear to have enough decent youth team players that we'd still...

Snowflake Royal What's with all the borderline casual racism and xenophobia recently?

oxf*rd nationality and race. What we want is competency and there's absolutely no need or expectation that comes simply from being British.

Indeed.

Re: Pauno out

If we get relegated I'd bet on us dropping to League Two sooner than getting promoted. Why should we be any different to Wigan? they were up to their necks in the brown stuff when the owners did a runner but they are flying now and look like a good bet to bounce back up. I expect their fans were sa...

Hendo
NathStPaul How many clear cut chances has Puscas actually missed in the last few games? Not suggesting he hasn't missed chances but I just can't remember the players behind him creating much.

Blackpool was the biggie, would've out us 3-0 up and out of sight.

....and since that miss we haven’t scored.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

I am starting to think Swift and Puscas have a big issue with each other. Swift just doesn't give Puscas anything to work with. I genuinely cant think of one example of Swift playing Puscas in or even attempting to. Every time he just hogs it and would rather have a shot than pass it to him, or if ...

Re: Pauno out

I'll still back the manager. Until I've seen what he can do with a fit squad I'll reserve judgement. I just want João and Meite gone in the summer. They clearly will never give us a decent amount of games each season without injury. We need replacements with a good fitness record and a bit decent. ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a)

Sorry Stranded I think you’re hopelessly optimistic. You have to blood some youngsters. It is utterly insane to have not done so with our injury situation this season. He also should have changed the way we play to try and accommodate the only experienced striker we have. I don't consider myself an...

tidus_mi2 Big oxf*rd failure of Pauno who had weeks to find a striker after Joao and Meite got injured and he signed about 3 oxf*rd midfielders.

Yes that was a big error.

Tbf we'd be even more fcuked right now if we hadn't bought in those midfielders.

Most of them are injured! Only TDB is fit.
