Re: New manager rumours and speculation

Brogue heard on the grapevine we are interested in marc skinner

Hard to imagine that such an appointment would inspire or galvanise a football club in need of serious restoration, no matter how good he may be, perception is everything!

Re: New manager poll

Huge gamble for an up and coming talented manager and the last 5 years of dead beat blind alleys hardly help make the club a brilliant opportunity, IMHO, but l live in hope and wish the new manager all the very best!

Re: New manager poll

All the speculation and substantial names being mentioned overlook the elephant in the room, who in their right mind would eagerly pick up the tainted chalice???

Re: New manager poll

The nearest we could get to the desirable talents of Mark Robbins is Adrian Viveash, his assistant and a former biscuitman himself!

Re: New manager poll

I've watched Exeter city a lot since moving to Devon, they are a decent club, very reminiscent of Elm Park's Biscuitmen. Matt Taylor had them playing attractively on very limited budgets and got them promoted from his experiences playing and managing in league 2 to league 1 I recognise that he has n...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

IMS, Alan Pardew had a feast or famine attitude, which culminated into a, drawn to success finale, so whatever keeps us competitive and successful will be a very pleasant change IMHO!!!

Re: New GK

Sheffield Wednesday's Cameron Dawson is 26 years old, 6' 4" and kept 19 clean sheets on loan for Exeter City, a prospect?

Re: Next Reading Manager

The indifference and apathy I'm reading and hearing is very worrying. This is our football team, surely we should give a shiny sh@te?

Re: Next Reading Manager

Definitely not a time for sentimentality or hopeful decision making! This needs to be a cold blooded and cold hearted decision in the "moneyball" style. Thank you PI, but your work is done. We know what we need and it won't/can't be pretty, anything, other than a hard arsed task master, wi...

Warburton has surely got enough experience of the championship to prove his credentials and raise the status of the club?

Re: Next Reading Manager

Given the near comatose nature of some Reading player's and staff performances in the last 5 years, a Sean Dyche type manager would be spot on to shake the primadonna's up! There must be more accessible managers like him at lower levels!

Re: Pauno out

Following the "beautiful game" has aways been emotional, winning, losing and drawing. Success and failure, hope and aspiration inevitably leading to euphoria and depression. But, for all of that we volunteer to be involved and we mostly forgive the negatives, largely because of the effort,...
