Re: Rivals to the "106" team?

Our last 20 league games have resulted in an incredible record of P20 W16 D1 L3 F37 D14 Pts49 GD+23 Whilst I appreciate that "if my aunty had had balls she'd have been my uncle", thought it worth mentioning that had we kept this level if success up for a full season, our finishing record ...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

It is understood the Premier League believes the rule is necessary to protect the integrity of its competition, clubs and players. Doesn't that just ay it all! Here's hoping the judge rules in favour of HMRC. What I still don't understand though is who approved this Football Creditor's law i...

Re: Players in financial crisis Thread

Friday's Legacy Last year, current Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel was also declared bankrupt after his non-profit US football academy ran up debts of close to £5m.

Taking the 'non-profit' bit a little too literally ...

Re: Record Watch 2011-12

Just had a quick look at our 2005/06 record after 36 games, to compare to Charlton. We had 86 - they have 78. What I did notice was that the team in 7th had 53 - 33 points behind with 10 games left.  iirc we were "promoted" that season when we beat Southampton on 10th Feb - 13 ...

Re: Record Watch 2011-12

I still find it amazing that, during our 106 season, both Sonko & Ingimarsson started all 46 league games. And picked up 1 yellow card between them. Of all the records we set that season, that one is just  They both played the majority of the games the previous year (Ivar played 44, Sonk...

Re: QPR celebratory pitch invasion LOLZ

ALOL @ QPR fans invading the pitch to celebrate promotion, only to hear Norwich have notched a last minute winner, and then standing around wondering what to do. Will they do another when the FL deduct 20 points and QPR stay down? Wouldn't surprise me if QPR are deducted exactly enough points to se...

York haven't moved, have they?

No, but they are in the Conference, so not 'in the 92' (as stated in the thread title and OP)

45 out of the current PL/FL grounds.

58 in total, although that includes some friendlies at teams that have never been in the league.

I think they should be made an example of and be relegated! As I said on the team board, I'm sure there is a lower league precedent of losing all th epoints gained from games in which that player has played. Which would be 59, putting them on 11 in 24th position and 27 points adrift of safety...
