Down to just 8 that can match 106 now, and only 6 that can beat it: Championship Cardiff - possible 114 Hull - possible 106 League One Tranmere - possible 110 Doncaster - possible 110 Brentford - possible 109 Swindon - possible 106 League Two Port Vale - possible 109 Gillingham - possible 111 Quite ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round 2012/2013

I think their managerial appointment process consists of a large sheet of paper with faces/numbers on it, then the chicken walks around on it, and whoever the chicken shits on is the new manager. Which would be the untilamte irony because that's how the manager will feel after a few weeks/months {d...

Re: Lukaku - 18 Million pound Chelsea player

Thing is, Reading could have this type of player on loan but they won't. The reason being there is no chance of signing him on a perm basis. Fair enough BUT sometimes a loan signing could be the difference of going down and staying up. And then leaves a massive hole in the team the following year. ...

edinburghroyal Who's better: us now or Derby 2007-08?

We're already 5 points better than Derby 07-08
So as far as gaining points is concerned 'us now' are significantly better

Re: Reading v WBA - Match thread sponsored by "Sean" Long

We deserved that win. I think people are forgetting, or maybe they don't know if they weren't there, that WBA should have been down to 10 men for a second yellow in the first half. If their defender hadn't already received one, the ref almost certainly would have given it. I disagree. We simply did...

Re: Reading v WBA - Match thread sponsored by "Sean" Long

There was seriously something off about the performance in the first half. We looked like we were half asleep, I didn't watch the last ten minutes but something magical must have happened. Jesus Christ. Football is pretty mental. This sort of game is why supporting a team like Reading is SOOOOOOOOO...

The usual Team Board wakners should be made to eat the insultingshit they've been coming out with on this thread. No idea if we'll survive, but I have a list of posters on here who should just fck off and support Chelsea. Go fook yourself you self rightious prick. Anyone who could say anyhing posit...

Re: The Great Escape

Can we pull it off and stay up? QPR Villa Sunderland Southampton Villa Wigan ^^^All to play at home. We only have to score one more point than 17th, so I don't care whether we do it with the last kick of the last game of the season, or whether we storm up the league.. I reckon we'll do it. If score...

Re: RFC flops XI

Sean Evers in for Cisse in midfield, definitely. Would also argue that, whilst unpopular, Mills was not a complete flop - he was pivotal in our run to the play off final (would exclude him for that epic performance at Cardiff in the semi-final alone). RB - Greg Halford? Signed for big bucks, did no...

soggy biscuit Demba Ba booked for diving on his home debut. Doing his best to make himself a Chelsea player I guess.

Except that the incident was not a dive and should not have been a booking.

No penalty either, by the way.

Re: RUMOUR: Danny Welbeck on Loan

It isnt beyond the realms of possability Im sure Sir Alex could stick a call back clause in there if he needs him I'no expert by any means but I thought that PL to PL loans were for the entire period of the loan with no recall option. The recall option that Liverpool have with Carroll is only enfor...

retro_royal Another GOAL in Fergie Time.

Oh please.

I'm as big a Man Utd hater as the next person but 40 seconds into added time when the minimum these days is 3 minutes is hardly Fergie time.

No Fixed Abode It's football, it's unpredictable, results like this happen.

Would never find Man Utd supporters talking like that.

Of course you would ...... sometimes they only win by one goal

Still, there was proof that the decisions even themselves out over a season.

Torres' goal against us was clearly offside, but given
Lampard scores against QPR from an onside position but disallowed incorrectly.

There .... evened out

Re: Leigertwood - Out of his depth

You bunch of oxf*rd. Leigertwood has looked exposed without Jem, but is break up play has been loads better with his old (young) mate back in the side. A good team is about partnerships, not individuals He looks out of his depth, and he's never been a true Premier League player, but it doesn't mean...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Serious answer. There isn't a general dislike for Rodgers amongst Reading fans, just a vocal few. Good bloke but the wrong man for the job is all. Bit of a clown though (big book of tactics etc) and talks some shit - but most managers do. Most Reading fans would like to see him succeed against QPR ...
