I'm surprised he's only 24, feels like he's been around a lot longer.

Re: CONFIMRED - Tariqe Fosu to Chalrton

Remember that Kwesi Appiah looked great against Derby that day too, now he's at AFC Wimbledon. Is it possible Derby were just shite in that game? They had been in quite indifferent form for a while at that point.

We do seem to have a good recent record of wingers bought from Burnley.

Re: Rumour - Frederico Venâncio

Stam is looking to go 6 at the back plus the keeper next season apparently. Says it will provide the firm base on which to make Reading more dangerous going forward. I could believe that actually if he considers defensive midfielders as part of that. He said when he joined he was a bigger fan of 4-...

Re: Players you'd like us to sign thread

I think they would have done to be honest. 10m seems to be about the going rate for anyone nowadays in the Prem. Mooy is a good player, but been far from impressed by some of the other players they are supposedly interested in The price of £10m obviously factors in his potential but with many of th...

Re: The 2017/18 season preview/expectation and build up thread

Didn't Derby pay far more than that like £9M for Ince? Still that's good money for an overrated player £4.75m, is £9m overrated in the current market? He is a very capable, goal-scoring winger at this level. He has question marks on whether he can cut it in the Prem after two previous poor seasons ...

Re: Jaap Stam Rumours

It was either a point that wasn't conveyed well or a misunderstanding of the managerial situation at Southampton, hardly a case to judge another's level of intelligence.

So their manager's aren't always poached then.... And my reference was to manager's changing, not being poached or sacked. But thanks for helping the clueless amongst us feel better. There is always one who is even more clueless. Do you actually get a thrill from being a bit of a dick ? From your p...

Re: Mubarak Wakaso

Beerens has oodles of skill but is slow and lightweight. He makes a yard with his tricks but gets caught or muscled off far too easily. An upgrade, or even just a more agricultural alternative would be welcome to my mind. Stam must agree with you on this, as Beerens was completely absent during the...

Re: Jaap Stam Rumours

I'm in the belief that while Ajax may keep tabs on Stam's progress, I reckon they'd go for a more experienced manager right now, perhaps it's more hope than anything. Also bet £20 with a Reading colleague today that Stam would still be Reading manager come the first game of the season, hopefully thi...

Re: Liam Kelly transfer rumours

If Williams is here next season I think it's a good sign of intent from the new owners as I previously wouldn't have thought the Thais would stump up the wages Danny would probably command.

St. Brynjar I support Reading and Middlesbrough. I look forward to being told what a shit fan I am and how I'm everything that's wrong with modern football.

While I'm not criticising having a second team...

...Middlesbrough?

Davezk Where's the Ian Royal option?

There's been a shocking amount of polls without the Ian Royal option.

Re: Do you have another team?

There are teams I don't mind doing well, Tottenham due to family connections and (apologies to older fans) Aldershot due to the proximity to Fleet and the fact my Aunt goes to most their games. I however only actively support Reading.

Re: Ins and Outs – 2017/18

Why do people keep saying Hurtado is a valid option? He may have had a half decent season wherever he is now but we've had a good look at him already. Hurtado has been on loan since before Stam joined, he hasn't been able to recall him so who knows? Maybe Stam does see him as a viable option but ha...

LUX Tagged.

Luckily I am chanting/ being a real fan.

No surprise some look down, it was taken the moment we were losing 4-3, unless the scoreboard has been photoshopped

It's been shopped in some way, the scoreboard reads 4-3 but they are clearly mid-game in that image.
