Re: The Tommy Smith Thread

Could solve so many problems though, formation could be 1-1 Fed in goal, Smith everything else! If he signs I only hope that he is given a chance to shine, the same as the new manager and team doh!!! Replace Federici with Smith! We all dream of a team of Tommy Smith's, a team of Tommy Smith...

Re: ONLY ONE SIR JOHN MADEJSKI!

Strap makes a sane and reasoned point, even M&S who were rescued by the single mindedness of Rose now recognise that a broader approach is required and that he cannot continue to be judge, juror and executioner.

Re: The Tommy Smith Thread

Smith isnt even that good, a good championship creative player, not really the goal scorer we need imo. I don't know how good, bad or indifferent TS really is, but I hope we don't sign him, the weight of expectation on one £2 million pound player in a world where Joleon Lescott is worth £24 million...

Re: Genuine Poll - Minimum season expectations

Surviving to fight another day and another season next year would be the fraught, but minimum acceptable outcome, a learning curve that takes us in to mid-table would be desirable, anything else will be a bonus this season. Realism is often a bitter pill!

Re: Rogers must go? (POLL)

Loyal supporters? my arse. Some people are really in severe danger of embarrasing themselves big time with the sort of rubbish they are posting at the moment; and remember people, the stuff you are writing now WILL be ressurected in the future (anyone else remeber ITFC's wonder post about Fozzie?? ...

Re: Disgrace - RFC pull out of Tommy Smith deal.

Level par with Newcastle for club embarrasment lately. You have to be joking right? talk about a mountain out of a molehill. We're four games into the season have played 2 top six teams, have kept two cleans sheets, but yes are misfiring in front of goal. We've made £11 million odd on 3 players who...

Re: Disgrace - RFC pull out of Tommy Smith deal.

So TS is considered not to be good value at the asking price and we are closing in on other targets. Does this mean RFC are about to sign a young, talented asset, whom will help to generate shirt sale revenues around the world, like a "Ronaldo or Beckham" type figure? Its surely the only w...

Re: Genuine Poll- Whose to blame?

It's Spurs & The FA's fault - Spurs for finding a company mechanism to float clubs as plcs and as money-making ventures, separate from the football club themselves, and the FA for allowing them to do this - when they had a perfectly good rule ( Rule 34 ) that would have prevented that. Then add...

Re: THE TWO TYPES OF READING FAN

Can't believe you didn't mention ankle deep urine in the south bank "facilities" or the toggle spanner throwing Millwall "fan" but for what it's worth I think there is only one kind of Reading fan really. It's all of us , all the time, through thick and thin, supporting, moaning ...

Has anyone else picked up on the fact that it is the second time that palarse have been dicked out of a valid goal?
