Re: Could Reading Fans buy Bearwood?

He also went to see Beijing Renhe play on numerous ocassions. I heard he used to have a soft spot for KSV Roeselare Read it again... the club's when I lived there over performed. To be honest I've seen Reading win most of the times I've been able to get up but that was ruined by W*nkcombe W*nkerers...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Personally, I just want this shit show to end one way or another. You me and every Reading fan worldwide. Well no actually, on the other thread the majority were saying they'd rather limp on to keep the dream alive. https://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=191235 But I'm with blyth -...

Re: Sign this to stop Dai Yongge selling Bearwood to Wycombe

It won't be owned by Wycombe though. They'll just rent it and that's how the owner will make money from it. They may even try renting it to us too, as it could probably sustain 2 clubs The other option would be hawking it out by the week to someone like the Brazilian FA as a European training base ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Rather makes the whole ffp thing utterly ****** pointless then if all the FL can do is take points away rather than actually hurt the planks that cause it all in the first place. Wonder how much the PL lobbyists will manage to get the useless politicians to water down any proposed financial regulat...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just taken a look at Wycombe's last accounts and to be honest this does not make sense if the purchase is over £20m as rumoured. They only file accounts for a "small business", they have tangible fixed assets of £1.1m, £1.3 of long term creditors, and total equity of minus £1.5m. Now I be...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Interested to know how Wycombe can afford the facility and upkeep. Doesn’t that much sense to me really. They don’t have a proper academy or a women’s teams. Or an u21 team at any sort of level afaik Well they've bought it at a knock down price for a start. From a purely commercial viewpoint that c...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Winston Biscuit I generally stay pretty positive on things and have always just thought it would all work out fine for us in the end (in either L2 or at worst the Conf), but this does feel pretty desperate now.

Yeh this is the first moment I've thought there may not be a way out of this.

Re: The phoenix club thread

If we could work out the details in a unified way and someone 'reliable' like STAR led and could maybe get the likes of Howe involved. Then I'd probably chuck in £2/3k. If its a disorganised shambles led by SBWD, I'm not trusting them with my money. Agree in that I'd need to have confidence in the ...

Re: The phoenix club thread

I do have money set aside for this, but when we finally get dissolved I honestly won’t have any appetite left for football whatsoever. I will have over 50 years of memories some great and some not so good and that’ll be enough for me. If I watch any sport it’ll probably be the Royal Wootton Bassett...

Re: Cross Border Cup Idea - Scottish And English Sides

Nice idea but can't see it happening in a month of Sundays. Too many neigh sayers from all sides - lesser clubs fearing further distances to travel, the popo, the respective FAs, the old firm fearing the increased competition, you name it. Presumably UEFA/FIFA would also seize on it as leverage to s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

The list seems to come from another era of FM/AM radio and SMS. TBF it is useful to know if a game is on TV or radio somewhere, although these days the channel list should probably be more exhaustive for those of us with, shall we say less orthodox TV subscriptions. The "text a mate for updates...

Winston Biscuit Stadiums of Independiente & Racing Club in Buenos Aires, just 300 metres from each other. 2 of the so called 'big 5' in Argentinian football.

Who are the other three, and are there any outside BA?

Dirk Gently Plus one more, but I'll be in the home area. Not going to miss a chance to watch from the last proper standing paddock at an English League ground.

Nice - I think I'd do the same if I were embarking on the 600 mile round trip.
