Re: Goal-line technology and reviews

Surely if the fourth official (or fifth?) is carrying out the review then play can continue in the meantime anyway.

Re: John Terry

Can't remember who questioned it but I was listening to some flappy-mouthed space filler on the radio earlier and he reckoned that the reason for the difference in length of ban was because Suarez used the 'term' multiple times and Our JT only said it once. Apparently. 2 for disrepute, 2 for racist ...

Re: Which football ground in London is the worst?

Whitehart Lane is an absolute bitch to get to (and from). Nice while you're there, though.

Worst ground in London in Selhurst. Cvnts.

Re: Three To Go Down

What's going on at Stoke? Why are people tipping them to go down - thought they were a half decent side these days.

Re: Three To Go Down

Villa, Norwich and Swansea at this point.

Though Fulham is a decent shout and I don't even know who WBA's manager is so can't comment on their chances. Classic yo-yo team though so they probably wouldn't mind.

Re: RUMOUR: Tal ben Haim

You only really catch tiddlers round here and I think the're all having this spaz-fest elsewhere anyway.

That said if he's only on £30k a week or something then he'd do I suppose.

Re: RUMOUR - Pippo Inzaghi

So Inzaghi is the new Sigurdsson? Get the boy in, amaaazing player. I've read all your arguments against him and they just don't wash - if Pippo played here next year it would relegate Gylfi to being just the second best player who'd ever played for the club (third if you count John Mackie). I stand...

Re: FIFA world rankings

So England have beaten more of the top ten than they have lost to in this arbitrary last decade? With most of the defeats coming on penalties because the other sides can't beat us?

Unless I've miscounted or forgotten a huge chunk of history (not unlikely), that's remarkable.

Re: Euro 2012 Final - Spain v Italy

Thought it was quite interesting to be honest - was it a Europe-wide thing? Did anybody watch ITV to confirm it was the same over there? Didn't really watch the pictures but thought it was a fun cover. Edit: Imogen Heap according to youtube, never heard of her I'm afraid. Turned me on a little bit t...

How to pronounce AVB 'properly'. So yeah you're right Mr Wallet, a decent stab is about as good as you can expect.

Re: Football analysts on TV

(and not being able to ask and learn from every individual player) The thing is with these famous footballers there will surely be a record somewhere of them saying their own name, so it's actually quite easy to learn how they say it themselves and how they would want to be represented. I don't giv...

Re: Football analysts on TV

We have Mcmanaman (never typed that before, lol) on ESPN over here sometimes and I find him refreshingly honest. Ian Darke is someone I hate but I can't put my finger on why - like him on the boxing though (is that him?)

Re: Euro 2012 Final - Spain v Italy

Just to clarify the 'boring' viewpoint. Surely we can all agree that a close, competitive game with the initiative changing hands every few minutes >>>>>>> total domination by a few excellent footballers? Spain are great to watch at first, but we've seen the same stuff for the last 5 games, there's...

Re: Football analysts on TV

If you're talking to a dude and he tells you how to actually pronounce his name, surely it's only polite to try and do it the way he says...? Perhaps this is why the pronunciation of AVB's name changed once the chaps down the BBC had a chance to talk to him? I dunno, not really fussed about how name...
