Re: Rival Watch

Agreed. If you compare this to 16/17, nobody was quite sure how we finished 3rd and we relied upon Al-Habsi and an ageing Kermogant, who we all suspected would struggle to repeat his heroics for a second season. Clearly we made poor recruitment decisions, but the spine of the team to build upon sim...

Re: SpuROFLs

103 goals this season suggests not, I notice you haven’t popped up recently on this thread, yet one defeat later and you’re straight back  I do not hide the fact I dislike Spurs. Horrible club and arrogant fans However back to football. The so called tactical genius plays four attacking playe...

Re: SpuROFLs

As do most of the "big six" clubs. How often do you get one of the big six trouncing another? One of the last I can remember was... oh yeah, Man Utd 1-6 Tottenham Yep, goals against other big 6 teams: Man City: 13 Man United: 3 Chelsea: 4 Liverpool: 12 Arsenal: 7 Spurs: 13 Spurs only scor...

Re: Rival Watch

I think we'll still be in a good place next year though. Likely to lose Richards (confirmed), Olise - and then shed a few squad players who we won't miss massively if at all- Walker, Aluko, Baldock, East, Watson, Smith Hopefully Joao won't get itchy feet, and we sort our shit out with Tom Mc but we...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

Would go with the same team here again although if Meite is fit to start, perhaps slot him in for Puscas or even Semedo like he did against Forest

You’d expect Birmingham to go into the game with a real lack of confidence so would be good to have a strong start to the game

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

I could have played in goal for United today, WHU didn't try to attack the whole game Thought it was strange tactically from Moyes, didn’t see the need for a 5 at the back and Noble in midfield. Granted, Lingard, Yarmolenko and Fornals were all out but they had some options on the bench that could ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Judging by Arsenal Spurs game, Maureen. Spurs have been utter gash, he has taken off the threats and gone 2-1 down. Appalling management. What threats may that be? N’Dombele was awful, Son was injured and Bale wasn’t involved in the game Possibly a victim of tactics you could argue but Lucas and La...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a)

I know Huddersfield won the playoffs, but it's hardly a model to follow. They didn't score a goal in 3 games, played out possibly the worst match of football ever against us at Wembley and won 2 penalty shootouts. They weren't fresh or remotely close to the form they had displayed earlier in the se...

Re: Rival Watch

If we don’t go up this season I do wonder in years to come if we look back on this season as the one that got away. I didn’t feel that way in Stam’s first season because we really were not that good. I feel differently this time and am frustrated that the likes of Swansea and Watford could go up in...

Royality creeps In Another tactical masterclass from Maureen. His concept of trying to win matches without attacking is just

Still very funny :D

Re: THE BETTING THREAD

I've done all Prem games today plus Sevilla v Betis, over 2.5 goals. £5 pays £190. Looking good - didn’t help me though  Not sure about the penalty - lot of people saying it wasn’t but the contact is fairly clear. I guess it’s more the inconsistencies of refereeing decisions, as players gettin...

Pepe the Horseman Everton

33/1

Everton can get fucked.

Unlucky! Everton have got woeful home form, was tempted to put Burnley onto win because of it but they haven’t been in the greatest form themselves, difficult game to bet on

Re: MATCHWATCH : Nottingham Forest (a)

Value of having better options on the bench, and actually using them today - Meite offers a new dimension to the team and Aluko did OK too

With Ejaria and Rinomhota being added to that and Swift later on, fingers crossed, it’ll improve the options even further

Rafael Yiadom Holmes Moore Richards McIntyre Semedo Laurent Olive Puscas Joao Southwood Esteves Gibson Rinomhota Tetek Ejaria Meite Baldock Should be the same team, injuries permitting, no need to rush back Rinomhota, Ejaria or Meite unless we have to. Snowflake Royal Give me a good midfield workhorse over a show pony every day of the week.

Yep. Which is why we should sell Ejaria and sign Harry Arter

How do you feel this gimmick is working out for you?
