Re: What team is most similar to Reading FC

I wish we were like Bournemouth, Brighton Brentford , when did we put 7 goals past Everton in two games. When did we win 3-1 at Arsenal and when did we go away to best richest club side in the world and win ? I am in total admiration of Brentford there recruiting of players managers coaching staff ...

Re: Reading fail to pay staff full salary

This is true to a certain extent, but it hasn't stopped other clubs from continuing where they left off pre pandemic. Locally, Swindon, Oxford and Wycombe's attendances are all up compared to pre-pandemic levels, this is mainly down to having personnel in place doing the jobs. As far as Swindon is ...

Re: Reading fail to pay staff full salary

Didn't this happen a couple of years ago? A banking holiday in China was blamed (Chinese New Year that time)? Can't remember if it was under this shit show or the Thais. Either way twice in a few years isn’t just poor, its piss poor. We're terribly run. The sooner Dai oxf*rd off thd better Terribly...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (a)

The WC break can't come soon enough. Get some decent centre backs returning and I think we'll see an upturn in form at the restart. A few take outs from yesterday: Holmes was atrocious, a bad start to the game really seemed to take the stuffing out of him Hutchinson does the basics flawlessly. It's ...

I think we also need to let the people who see the players day in day out make the decisions too, not rely on Snowflake Royal off of the internet.

Re: PInce - Concerns Developing - Is He Confused?

Writing after the Preston game (dire) got me thinking... 19 games - Home table 4th Away table 22nd Postion 11th Better than expected at pre-season, great start, wheels have recently started to wobble (significantly) First 6 games - goals for 7/against 6 (inc 4 at Rotherham) points 12 Second 6 games...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Most of the reviews I saw from Bristol fans were focussed on how poor they were, and oddly, it wasn't followed up by how bad we were too.

Re: BFTG-Stoke

Obviously picking up the wins and points is a huge source of satisfaction at the moment, but I’m almost taking more delight in recalling fans of other club’s (and the media) predictions for us over the summer. All we heard about the signings were “   they are shit, Reading are going ...

Re: Leaving Games Early...?

Reverse of leaving early - took my grandad to a game some years back for his birthday. After Lukaku but WBA 2-0, he wanted to leave as the cold was starting to get to him a bit. I suggested we hang on for 5 more mins and if nothing happened, we'd go. Then we pulled one back... Took my grandad to th...

Re: Leaving Games Early...?

My one from recent years was leaving when we went 1-0 down to Forest in the 95th minute a few years ago. I was going for a piss when we equalised and couldn't make out whether we'd scored, they'd scored, or the full time whistle had gone.

Re: If you could go back in time and change 1 result...

Either of the 2-0 home defeats to Bolton or Fulham in 2007/08. A draw in either would have kept us up. This. Another year in the top flight, likely considerable recruitment, probably our best chance to actually consolidate ourselves up there for an extended spell. Bolton po final was too soon. I’m ...

Re: If you could attend 1 game you missed...

Leicester in 2006 is probably the only huge game in the last 20 years I didn’t make.

Aside from that, I regret not being able to do any of the away games in 06/07 when we were more than competing in the Premier League. Stupid Uni.
