Re: The last straw,

AirRaidSiren If we ever done a Wimbledon or a drastic change in our name or change of identity, like what the new Cardiff owner is doing to their club. Would you want us to play in red and black stripes?

Even the Cardiff tafia are bulking at some of the changes, there has to be a limit, doesn't there?

The last straw,

what (if anything) would it take for you to turn your back on your club and make alternative arrangements? The Glazers seemed to provide the catalyst for FC United, relocating the franchise to MK seemed to do it for WFC, Maxwell's plans almost had me closer to the edge than he ultimately got to the ...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Bring on Coppell&Downes! This "not interested" talk is just rubbish, none of you know that for sure. Other than that, Paul Tisdale has had reasonable success at Exeter. Might bring that young goalscoring starlet he has with him, one "J. Cureton". By coincidence Exeter v Brad...

Re: Next Reading Manager

How do you know it was knee jerk? How do you know it wasn't close in December and Brian was only saved by a few lucky comebacks in January? Thats the point surely, we don't know, but the bloody football club should and therefore not look rudderless? What more do you expect a day after sacking a man...

Re: Zingarevich Out!!!

Why oh why can people not see that this move only had a little to do with this season and far, far, more to do with next?! After the Villa defeat virtually condemned us to relegation (in the eyes of realists at least) it actually made great sense to fire Brian McDermott at that point. By him leavin...

Re: Brian: The right decision?

As an older Reading supporter (recently introduced to the internet) I have been reading the many posts and articles currently written on the recent sacking of Brian McDerrmott. The following link I think sums up the situation perfectly: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/early-doors/most-pointless...

Re: Next Reading Manager

I would argue that there is a long term goal in place, and it was decided that this goal was unobtainable with Brian in charge. You don't know how much thought/time went into making this decision, none of us do. Very few replacement managers are named within 48 hours so chill out. Actually I am hop...

Re: 89th min - Send Off for McDermott on Saturday??

Gob smacked silence for the first five minutes would be the best way to indicate how many of us feel, as if there's been a bereavement, followed by a rendition of the Scaffold's 'Thank you very much for Brian McDermot, thank you very much, thank you very, very much' include other people like NG in o...

Re: Fans' Verdict - Di Canio?

Whoever has commented on this fascist cr*p needs to stop with the silly comments. At the end of the day I couldn't care as long as he kept us up I don't see why everyone is making a big thing of this if I'm being honest. People need to accept that if we are to stay up then it is likely that the Rea...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Winch has a point, but on the basis that 'no one man is bigger than the club' it makes sense to meet with BM and say 'look Brian its not working out and we need to make changes' Professional employees are expected to carry on until they are relieved of the responsibilities and having a plan and a su...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Just getting caught up... So the prevailing opinion around these parts (that would be this thread) is that they fired Brian with 9 games to go and 4 points from safety for no good reason other than we were struggling and the fans got on his back the last game? Glad to see the team's board has a pla...

Re: Next Reading Manager

Perhaps its just me, but if you plan to sack your manager at such a critical time, (can't believe they only just decided on the day) would you not have sorted out a planned replacement first and therefore if you have a plan, in which there is integrity and belief, why would you shy away from communi...
