Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Last week I saw a picture of a Reading shirt on Twitter that was just those climate change stripes top to bottom. I thought it was a joke at the time but now it seems not. That it looked a strange mix of light blue and pinkish reds, rather than a defined colour would make a third kit seem necessary.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Only just seeing this. I love that it’s winding up all the right people. The kit itself looks pretty putrid, but that sort of thing doesn’t concern me. I’m sure it’s already been said, but having a climate change kit with a car leasing sponsor on it seems like a massive and rather ridiculous contrad...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

All depends if we keep to the business plan. If the additional 6 get added I reckon we’re down. Would be interested to find out if that business plan relates to from this point onwards or covers a period of time that the EFL are yet to investigate. Hopefully the former. You would think it would hav...

Re: New Stadium

They should have put it where Toys R Us used to be. There was only that Homebase and a few shit warehouses in the area at the time. But that would have meant having to pay money for the land, which JM wasn’t keen to do. Unless my memory is failing me I think our stadium pre-dates those changes. Was...

Pepe the Horseman I took 33s at HT.

 I respect your level of pessimism Pepe. Only a true Reading fan would have that level of foresight. 8)

We let them in so many times in the first half, just knew it was coming.

How much did you put on?

Re: newcastle takeover now complete

How long will it be before the majority of teams in the PL are state owned?

Not much to stop this happening now.

Re: newcastle takeover now complete

The Premier League can finally stop pretending they give any sort of shit who buys their football clubs now.

Also, what is the supposed rule on spending against revenue and how do you think Newcastle will side step it?

fartdad I hope it all goes wrong

Because of the Saudis or the Geordies?

Always kind of liked Newcastle after that year they nearly won it. I’d rather they win the league than any of the other big money clubs. Obviously very mixed feelings that the owners are dark age murderous bastards.

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

Good post. I disagree. All this league will produce is the same bigger teams with parachute payments yo-yo-ing up and down, and maybe occasionally you’ll get a team playing by the FFP rules who scrape through the play offs. It’s not competitive and it’s pretty far from fair. Its a good post because...

Re: Points Deduction Incoming!

So, the EFL's logic and methods are far, far from perfect. But they are constrained by the fact that football clubs are private entities and that they don't have perfect information on which to operate. The transfer embargo is basically the best tool the EFL has to force a club to stop spending mon...

Hound I’m not surprised sadly. Proper stupid thing for a keeper to do mind you

Can we fine him some of his hefty wage for the sheer idiocy of it?

Yep, if he has broke his hand punching something in anger then he’s a fukking twat. The fine should be his wages for as long as he’s out.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

The kits are great but the sponsor ruins it. It just looks cheaply printed on and I’m not a fan of the logo. If you know someone who lives in Europe (not ROI) then you can order them without the sponsor through the Macron website if your European friend will post it on to you. I’m thinking if buying...

Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

If it’s for sexting, then the Police will already have seen enough evidence to arrest him. That’ll be enough to finish his premier league career if convicted of, at the very best, soliciting photos of a minor.
