Re: Barcelona Tickets

Bought tickets on the day 2 years back and from the official ticket outlets at the stadium. Word of warning though - you may have to wait for them to become available. And the concourses are really shit. Make the Mad Stad look like a palace.

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

Whyteleafe is in a very pretty location about a ten minute walk from the nearest station and with a well appointed clubhouse that serves real ale :D As for Windsor yesterday, no new kit and a muffled announcement about them being available next weekend. Why doesn't the club put something on the webs...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

It may have escaped you notice TB, but we aren't Chelsea, we don't have an Abramovich owner, nor are we likely to ever get one and trying to emulate their 'spend spend spend' philosophy won't work for us. We've already seen what happens when you gamble on (comparative) big wage, big reputation play...

Plus I don't remember winning too many games against Gillingham at Elm Park during the 1980s.

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

I've just moved to Dulwich... so what do I need to know about Dulwich Hamlet? used to have one of the biggest non league grounds in the country and also one of the best histories as well. I went there once many years ago before Sainsbury's took an interest. Take a look at this http://hoppysnaps.blo...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

Good to see that! Nice to see some local competition surviving in preparation of where we are "apparently heading" also Reading Town under new ownership...big plans afoot...real ale, s$y tv etc....all for the price of a £60 ST Not sure what good it will do them. To show Sky in a social cl...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Don't quite what people are hoping for out of this tbh. Maybe some still cling to the slightly delusional idea that there's a multi-billionaire out there waiting to make us the new Man City. Or maybe some believe that there's a philanthropic football loving rich guy willing to clear our debts and p...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

Jolly good-all you guys have the answers but really know f*** all however you all post with great authority  . Nameless, Do you really believe that Nigel is happy to go with unproven youngsters? His record at Southampton shows that if there is money to spend he will readily have it spent. I o...

Re: Buyout

Partnership what does that mean, they give all the money SJM takes all the credit ? Probably. The old coot will still hold 10%. No doubt come the eve of the new season, one player gets signed for a pittance and he trots out the same bullshit about showing commitment and ambition to return to the Pr...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

The announcer is the Chairman so one would bloody well hope he was correct. I have my doubts though. If the shirts are not there on 2nd August, I will demand my money back. Simple as. As for the EBFL and Huntercombe FC debacle, I would not be so keen to laud the praises of a club website. We all kn...

Re: Non - League thread 2013/14

And it would appear the Windsor FC's attempt to field a side in the East Berks League has become an unmitigated mess as they have all buggered off back to Huntercombe.
