Re: Is there a Third Season Syndrome?

Coppell has refused to buy players better than we have for fear of upsetting our under performing players. Look at it this way, all the under performers can come to Reading. Before you flame me, just look at Marcus... ...he let in how many goals, but he was fielded week in, week out. He then gets t...

Re: Is there a Third Season Syndrome?

Might that in part be due to the fact that they have had managers who, because it was made available, have spent a "huge warchest" on players who have actually not produced the goods?

Re: Is there a SPECULATION Jimmy Bullard thread?

Being able to run and cover every square inch of the pitch does not make you a necessary component of a team - the same attribute could be said for Andy Hughes! I rest my case Interesting isn't it, how half witted fans can be so critical of a player (Andy Hughes) who has been able to command a good...

Re: We're still going down.

I really don't think we would have got anywhere near the semis even if we had shown "a bit of interest" in the Spurs tie. And if we had shown more interest in the FA Cup by playing our 1st team would the likes of Cisse, Bikey, Rosenior and Long have been as ready for the challenge they ha...

Re: We're still going down.

That fine summariser Gary Birtles, who is always balanced in his comments, said we just didn't look like a relegation candidate on Saturday. That's good enough for me!!

Re: Is there a Third Season Syndrome?

It's important we build as a club from this season, and more importantly builds a squad of 18 + players capable of being able to step in when needed to cope with the demands of Premiership football. Like Royalee says, each team is different and the closest we resemble is maybe Wigan. Since Hutching...

Re: Team for Liverpool

Same team. Pace along the grass is what we need to take on Hyypia and Carragher - MM's through balls will be the deciding factor as he is now developing an understanding of what movements Doyle and Long are likely to make in and around the penalty area. 2-1 Reading. http://www.sogospellovers.com/for...

Re: Apologies here please:-

When Karen Murty apologised on BBCRB for causing offence on the internet forums for saying that the supporters needed to do all they could to help the team it became apparent that at least some knowledge of the content of Hobnob was filtering its way to the club and its employees.

Re: Apologies here please:-

Just don't get caried away that everything is now wonderful in the team - 'cos it most certainly ain't!! Quite but apparently it was OK to get carried away and say everything was doom and gloom. As far as I am concerned the play yesterday was not so different to the previous months but we got 3 poi...

Re: Dunne Injury?

I was a bit annoyed that Dunner felt capable of playing on for a minute or two, but then had to sit down and be stretchered off when the ball had gone out; Rennie should have made him walk off, seeing as he felt capable of playing on. I can't be sure but please tell me this is toungue in cheek as y...

Re: Today's Balding Guy Quotes

It is becoming clear that Thou Voice is nothing more than a wind up merchant - not worth dallying with. Because my thoughts are different from other lemmings and I am not prepared to follow the Balding Guy and his mismanagement style without questioning him? No. Because it's easier to write off peo...

Re: Motm vs. Citeh?

Interesting how Matejovsky seems to attract completely polarised views. Platypuss for one thought he had a stinker, yet several people have rated him very highly today. I love watching the bloke because he is more comfortable on the ball than any other Reading player for years (Little apart), and ca...

Re: Dunne Injury?

Dunne had a deep long gash in his shin that required 9 stitches. It was a totally fair challenge on both sides, but Hunt's foot connected with Dunne's shin as they came together. Dunne also seemed to land awkwardly but he had blood pouring from his leg and that was what he came off for. Not as bad a...
