Re: wage bill

Reports put their annual wage bill at around 35 million.

That would put our average salary at something like 30k per week.

Which is clearly bullshit.

They've got some relatively big names. I'd be enormously surprised if this is true.

Ejaria has the makings of a superstar and only a mental reactionary wouldn't be chomping at the bit to make his signing permanent.

Re: Second season success stories

Seem to remember Kevin Doyle struggled initially. Couldn't hit a barn door. Providing he works hard. Puscas will come good in the right formation. Bowen can only set the team up with the players available to him. I'm more frustrated with Ovie Ejaria. Doyle won player of the season and made ...

Joao has proven a big loss. Let's hope we can get someone in before the end of the week to deputise.

Playoffs do feel a bit distant now but a strong mid-table showing would be a huge improvement on previous years.

John Smith If Blackett leaves then the wheels come off our promotion campaign - it's as simple as that. This is to be the most crucial fortnight we have had as a club for 8 years.

I hadn't really realised how much of a tit you are.

Rafael

Four clean sheets on the bounce, gloves of gossamer, face of steel: it's about time our Brazilian stopper got his own thread. Emi Martínez showed last season how important a good keeper can be, and after starting the season with Everton's u19 goalie gamely flapping his arms about between the sticks,...

Re: BFTG QPR

I agree with Ian. A goalkeeper getting the positioning correct does not equal a great save. Then that would make you both incorrect. I presume neither of you have ever played in goal. How many defenders have you seen turn theirs backs to block a shot? A fair few I would imagine. A goalkeeper makes ...

Re: GOMES OUT!

He had to go. The defensive frailties were becoming a joke, total lack of organisation and tactical ineptitude meant we were always chasing matches, pointless playing out from the back invited pressure, too much reliance on moments of individual inspiration to paper over the cracks. A change was nec...

If novakovich is as good as we all want him to be, we're in for a decent season.

If he isn't, we are going to really struggle for goals.
