Re: Football nice guys...

Ivar too - gave lots of time to the community, far over and above what he needed to do, contractually.

Re: Football nice guys...

Bryn? Not sure if he does much charity work, but was always prepared to be a squad player here and not kick up a fuss about it. Noel Hunt - wasn't he a club ambassador or similar before he left, due to all his charity/community work? I think Noel Hunt was genuinely so grateful for the life and job ...

Re: Football nice guys...

Although I'm not sure about the title and the way this thread has developed. Some of the people mentioned so far aren't "nice guys" - they're utter c u nts who just happen to give a part of their massive wealth away to charity. A "nice guy" has to be genuinely and consistently &q...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

I can't find any breakdown of what the operational budget includes. I imagine that the 18 staff wages , scholar wages and facilities running cost and maintenance will be the bulk of it, but I don't know why the minimum budget is part of the criteria. Can anyone shed any light on this? Because the P...

Re: Dim Tellor Twitter Rant

It's interesting to hear that, because when the Peterborough team news was announced the RFC Offical facebook feed said that " Stephen Kelly misses out tonight after his partner went into labour. Best wishes to the Kelly clan! " https://www.facebook.com/readingfc/posts/560320410682107 I wo...

Always like Fulham and Everton, plus Barnsley & WBA for some reason.

Re: Peterborough - refund the fans?

Nope, as said, it's the luck of the draw with how a game is.

And, tbh, the ticket price is relatively small in comparison with the time spent and the cost of travel.

Re: Yeovil Away

Why would they let 5000 people in and 2 people not, if they are mixing with the crowd? If they could identify a hundred or so "suspect" tickets, and for whatever reason they deemed them to be a public order risk, they could quite easily and legally refuse admission. Just like Reading did ...

Yeovil now aware we're buying in the home ends. They said "wheels are in motion", whatever that means. They'll either let us in, move us, or refuse us entry. Might be better to call before you set off. Where did you hear this? I'm kind of in limbo, I bought two tickets and put in my RG bi...

Re: Has Adkins lost the dressing room

It's interesting that he was in his usual place on the touchline for about 65/70 minutes yesterday, then he vanished into the dug-out. I think he'd given up on that utter shower out there by that point. He came over to applaud the supporters in the face of extreme ( I won't name names .....), althou...

*our *Zingarevich. This, PLUS Better syntax is "(in which case should McDermott have been sacked)" there is no "of" in any case. Have a nice day! Not forgetting a couple of question marks and a capital 'D'. You're missing the apostrophe in "last night's" and "Satu...

Re: Is Adkins another Brendan Rodgers?

some people are very stupid. Again Rogers should have been given more time. He went on to MUCH bigger things! perhaps the playing staff are too thick to.get the passing game. i think we have to give him time. we may need this season to get players out who we don't want and to get players in we need...

Re: Is Adkins another Brendan Rodgers?

So why did he play that combination of players if they weren't up to the job and he didn't have confidence in them? If he wasn't going to take the competition seriously by not putting out a competent team why didn't he do the decent thing and let people know beforehand so they could save time, mone...

Re: REALITY CHECK!

There are also people moaning about Adkins making no substitutions, again WHY? Realising that the game was lost at half time my guess is that Adkins thought "you lot got yourself into this mess, lets see how you react to getting out of it", quite honestly i don't blame him. Agreed. The la...

Yes, they're probably letting them sell the first 2k and then see what sort of demand is left.

Re: We are much worse than we realised

We're developing anew style of play from the one that we've been playing for years.

We're also changing personnel to get the mix of players we need.

Does any rational person really think this'll all come right on Day One?

It's a journey - and it'll be an interesting one to be on.
