windermereROYAL Why are we back post World cup on December 10th when the PL are not back till boxing day?

Because there is more chance of a large number of PL based players being involved in the latter stages - less likely in the Champ. Plus there are 8 more games to fit in.

EFL clubs will still be able to request a postponement if they are missing 3 players - we are likely only to have Yiadom at the WC and will only be missing him if Ghana get to quarter finals or further, which is unlikely.

Hoilett with Canada

Not included him as, currently, he won't be our player come Friday week.

YorkshireRoyal99 The World Cup break might do us some good this season depending on what our form is like. Expecting to be near the bottom, so results and confidence may not be great for most of the season, so breaking it up during the middle of the season and having the majority of our players in and around where we can work on certain things to improve over the festive period might be a telling factor.

With us playing a whole month's worth of fixtures before the window closes, as much as the first 3 games are important, we probably won't have our finalised squad by that point, it's important we can get a few signings or loans in as quickly as possible.

The WC break also gives us decent time to find a replacement manager should Ince get sacked.

Boring draw but should in theory win and maybe get a better 2nd round draw.

Wouldn't care if we lost.

Good tie to put out a decent number of the kids pushing for the first team squad.

NathStPaul Reading v Stevenage

That'll do. I like getting lower league oppo. More interesting than a Championship opponent. Jamie Reid is a decent striker too. One if it wasn't for so many injuries should be in the Championship.

Stranded You can really see the lopsided nature of the season this year.

We'll have played 7 games by the time the transfer window closes at the end of August.

First 3 games being Blackpool (a), Cardiff (H), Rotherham (a) will give us a really good view of where we will be this year. It's a relatively friendly start.

Run-in looks OK based on what you can guage today, away again final day.

On paper a fairly kind start and finish.

We'll be on Sky Vs Bale City second game, and we won't be mentioned.
