Royal_jimmy It's time for a managerial change. We played quite well up until they scored and we just collapsed. It was the same at Blackpool and Port Vale. That's bad management as you're always in the game when it's only 1-0.

Need a new owner, CEO and a new manager who knows what's he's doing.

Vote Ian for all three positions.

I’d take Jimmy and Millsy at this point tbh.

Millsy Bollox.

We want SeLLLLLLLLLLes to keep dragging us down so a prospective buyer will be looking at a L2 club?

Selles out immediately.

Bide your time. Next season could be a reset. More games to win and new grounds to visit!

Ah yes the great re set.

In future years we are going to look back nostalgically on the 'The Gr8 Reset Seasons'

'Which was your favourite of the great reset seasons.'

'Oh L2 reset was a classic, but I think National League South reset was the overall best, when you factor in the points deductions, ground sharing with Tadley FC and the last minute appeals for fans who wanted to play just so we had 11 players to start the matches'

Should have been a planned decision rather one forced through self inflicted bad management and the constant rolling of dice.

Ian wanted league one football. This would be no worse than the championship apparently. Well it is. We're losing to shit teams every week at a lower level.

I always said in recent seasons if we were to go down, we’re far more likely to go down again than go up but I didn’t think it would be, this bad.

Who better to run the 2nd great reset than Mr Know-It-All who thought the first one was a great idea?

Unrealistic to expect a bunch of kids to compete week in week out with seasoned pros.

Difficult to give a shit for me tbh. There's only so much losing to be done before it gets so normalised that it barely registers. Sigh

Selles has to get rid of 4-2-2-2, especially on the road. It's evidently not working. He needs to change it or be changed.

Could potentially get out of the bottom 4 Tuesday, Wigan have Oxford.

CountryRoyal Can someone tell me why Bindon didn’t go CB and Mola did instead?

Because Selles is a screaming moron.

But I’m trying to see the logic. I can’t accept that a professional wouldn’t see that’s just nonsensical, but here we are. It’s very confusing.

Best I've got is Mola has been shit every time he's played fullback. He was ok at CB v Swindon (because Swindon didn’t attack) so it's better to play him there than right back when he's shit at left back. And Selles is clearly deluded about Bindon being a good right back.

tmesis
Snowflake Royal Which suggests Bowen was looking for an experienced manager, but either literally no experienced manager would take the job, which seems unlikely, or when Bowen got what he was looking for by agreeing Wilder and that fell apart he got overruled.

I'm not sure why that's unlikely, given the mess the club is in.

Any experienced manager who isn't desperate would wait for a better job.
We don't know. But Bowen is about the only one with any track record of good decisions at the club, so I'm willing to give him benefit of doubt.

The bar seems to be being set very low on that front

Because even club's in dire situations attract managers, and Reading is still a big step for most L1 or 2 managers. And most could expect to do considerably better with this squad than Selles has.

Really don't understand how Selles can keep defending a tactic that continues to show no signs of working, and depressing to once again see such a stubborn and one dimensional manager in charge.
Bindon is far too young to be being played out of position like this and sooner or later it's going to start hurting his development.
Dean is a non-entity.
Knibbs is quickly gaining on Azeez in the frustrating stakes. He's the embodiment of this team's can't/won't score if it's not a cup game syndrome.

100% maintain these players are much, much better than results suggest, and it's mostly a tactical problem. But they're also understandably fragile and either crumble like wet cake when they go behind, or just go missing entirely(Dean).

Haven't got a clue what we do. But Selles' idea of more of the same and hope for the best isn't doing anyone any good.

Yup. They should forfeit every away game and take the 3-0 defeat. Save all of us fans time and money
