Song for Kebe

by The Rouge » 19 Aug 2010 12:19

To the Tune of 'Can You Feel It - The Jacksons'
The Beat: A steady accompanying clap.
The Chorus has two tunes going on at the same time to represent the background melody in the original. Divide yourselves organically.

Lyrics

Intro: Jim Jim Kebe, Jim-Jim Jim Kebe, Jim Jim Kebe, Jim-Jim Jim Kebe (Kebe)

Chorus line 1: Jimmy Kebe, Jimmy Kebe, Jimmy Kebe
Chorus Line 2: (Jiiim-Jim-Jim Jim-Jiiiim Jim-Jiim Jim-Jiiiiim)

Verse
Jimmy Jimmy Jim Kebe, Jimmy Kebe, Jim Kebe
Jimmy Jimmy Jim Kebe, Jimmy Kebe, Jim Kebe

Repeat Chorus

The lyrics may need a bit of work but...

I think it should be to the song, "The Piglets Johnny Reggae". As his name fits perfect to the lyrics, but no idea what else to sing with that?

Johnny Reggae lyric update, trouble is RL/Gloria or Sarah Star would have to sing it in this version....

What's he like RL ?
- He's a real tasty geezer.

He's grown his hair a bit
but it's smooth not too long
an' he wears a football shirt
with a number fourteen on

he looks great in his big white
football boots.
He's stupid over football

an' he looks me in the eye when he shoots.

Kebe
Kebe
Kebe

here comes Jimmy Kebe

Jimmy Kebe
Kebe
lay it on me.

Kebe
Kebe
Kebe...

always start a fight for me
he's always on the phone
at the dance-hall in the evening
he'll always take me home

in his fringe and buckle stompers
and his two-tone tomic strides

he's a real tasty geezer an' I'm his - here - inside.

If you add the two missing apostrophes and put the comma after each "Woah" then you can count me in as well.

I can only get the chorus to scan the rest (despite the simplicity of the lyrics) doesn't seem to work for me... i just can't seem to get the feel of it.
Any chance you could pop a rendition on youtube or something?
