Not on your nelly.

And a worrying sign in my opinion. We're willing to let him go for free just to get him off the payroll. We must be seriously strapped at the moment. More seriously than many of us thought.

do you really think a club of that size will be able to afford the fee and the wages he would want. Just to take him off the wage bill with no fee is good enough to fill in a decent chunk of the deficit

"Handsome, eloquent, a beautiful footballer and a wonderful goal poacher. But enough about Berbatov, Rasiak is a bench warmer in a wheelchair league."

Wasn't Razza second top scorer? Interesting that Reading now have a Plan A with midget strikers running about aimlessly and now have NO PLAN B. But course we are aiming for the Premiership according to the Madman!

What a joke club. Going no where. The Madman needs to get together with Oyston at Blackpool and resign as well.

What a clownnnnnnnnnn Real facts.

Was never ever going to be first choice, but did give us something different if the team gets frustrated, and start to lump balls into the box.
Ah well, Cyprus is a nice part of the world to end your playing career.

I agree with others on here. I can sense a much bigger departure looming.

I think the fact that we offloaded him to a club like that shows how much we needed him off the wage bill. That's what worries me. That and the fact that he is the only fit, proven finisher we have. It's a real gamble on Hunt's fitness and/or Church's ability to vastly improve his finishing (much as I rate the lad).

I think we should start up a appreciation society for Rasiak. For all his hard work, and frequent number of goals he has scored for RFC. Who's in?

Be interesting if Sigurdsson picks up any mysterious injuries in the coming days. The only hope from Reading's persepctive if they have to lose a first team regular that it's the goalkeeper. Massively top heavy with could be first choice keepers and massively short pretty much everywhere else on the field especially at the back and up front in my opinion where the options are all pretty similar with no Jam Roll.

If we "dont have the means" to sign any more players, why did we offer Inga a new contract whilst injured?

Impossible. Reading are a well run club. They tell us so all the time.

Would be funny if they didn't actually believe it!!

Has Madejski regained his Midas touch with his other businesses or are some of them still underperforming and facing financial challenges too?

Funny sale from a footballing perspective. As others have said, we're short of options up front, but I accept that Rasiak was never going to set the world alight.

Good financial move though and I'm sure that Rasiak will enjoy the sunshine.

That is why theseplayers are leaving - beacuase we are well run. A poorly run club would keep these players on just to keep squad numbers.

The cost base still needs to be reduced to a sustainable level if we weren't well run we wouldn't be doing all we can to get the wages down. We would keep them high and worry about cash shortfalls later and then maybe not pay the HMRC.....

If we get rid of the chaff we get to keep the wheat.

No loss. He might offer something different but I'd wager that Long has performed better off the bench (Snowball?) than Rasiak ever has.

McD didn't say that. He said we didn't have the means for Zurab. He wasn't asked about 'any more players' so far as I can see from that quote.

The worst part of this news is that it means we're almost certainly going to keep Shane Long

Looking back thats true. but the questions still is , why have we offered him a new contract if money is that tight?

More GKs than CBs really isnt a great promotion plan either
