Samrfc01 Tbf the Icelandic U21's or U20's are meant to be really good and that cant all be down to Sig

Yes and for the full international games against Norway and Denmark, 7 U-21 internationals have been promoted to the A-side. Eidur Gudjohnsen has been dropped among others. A new generation led by Gylfi is taking over in Iceland.

If I was BM I would get on the phone to sign Fram and U-21 international center back who can also play at left back or defensive mid, Jon Gudni Fjoluson. He was recently on trial at PSV and is also wanted by AEK Athens. He ate those German U-21s for breakfast and looks absolutely fantastic in every thing he does. He is also a free kick specialist and gets his fair shares of goals.

It's certainly hard to believe that there could be many truly talented players not already plying their trade at a bottom-half Championship team.

On the bright side, now Gylfi's gone we might let players like Williams, Kebe and Cummings take penalties again. Maybe even Antonio!

All done and dusted.

No point crying over spilled milk now.

4.25 million would've been a steal.

6ish and we can't really complain too much tbf...

At a risk of stating the blindingly obvious I wouldn't be too unhappy with this deal if we spend a good proportion of that on some exciting new blood.

A couple of decent/promising players + some left over cash >>> Gylfi.

The deficit I thought most people on here were saying had been pretty much covered by all the other exits. I will base my opinion on this sale on who comes in... I'm sure someone will come in and so long as they're not a donkey then fair enough - if nobody comes in I'll be pretty annoyed to say the least - but surely we'll get someone?

This might help you....

From same quote but important bit you missed out....

"Very importantly, with this manager, staff and players, we remain competitive in this division and following Gylfi's departure we will add new players to the squad. One cannot underestimate the hard work that the manager and Nick Hammond have done in this regard.

Ah, so you believe the bit about paying off the deficit enough to shoot your mouth off about it but not about us buying players?

From BBC

1347: It seems that Gylfi Sigurdsson's move to Hoffenheim could be worth more then the £6m originally thought. Reading say it is the club's record transfer fee received, which was previously the £6.5m that Wolves paid them for Kevin Doyle. I've seen him play a couple of times and rate him very highly. Nice return for Reading on their investment in their youth system.
