Jackson Corner Horror show at the scum. Was at this game but never seen this before.

Good find. Let's just say the shirt didn't favour our #8's physique

Way before my supporting time...1987 4-0 loss against the Swine

Spot the Soul-Glo of Kamara and a certain Mighty Quinn scoring at the wrong end.

I remember nothing about that game, but I must have been there.

My first away game. The Battle Of The Magic Roundabout had already started outside the ground as the 4th goal went in. Absolutely pitiful day all round. I'm amazed it didn't put me off for life.

ACE. Brilliant RFC kit, and Eastville looks an absolutely awesome wreck of a ground 8)

Had the pleasure of visiting Eastville in the late 70s.

Violent. Gasometered. Yokelled.

In a way a kind of 'Scrumpford Bridge.' Cidered-up worzels in an elliptical facsimile of the Kings Road mob's old ground.

The kind of 'Shed' a yokel would have.

Blue-remembered hills and all that.

I've got full season highlights for every season from 1986-87 through to present day (now all on DVD) (only 86-87 and 87-88 are part seasons, the rest full) and will try to look out a couple of these clips that people have asked for - Wolves 96 etc - in a quieter moment.

I'd also be interested in trading for any earlier stuff (VHS is fine if you've not put it on DVD, and I could borrow and return and do the DVD conversion for you too) - any full games pre 87-88, or any highlights.... any got any of the Southern TV/TVS (now Meridian) Big match highlights from 70s and early 80s - 5-1 v Northampton and that era. Or the 85-86 full games v Derby, Doncaster etc that someone mentioned.

PM me a trade offer.

Has anyone got any footage of Reading v Arsenal, Feb 1972 in the 4th round of the FA cup?? It was on the Big Match the following day and I've seen clips shown on the box occasionally. It's the first game I can vividly remember going to.

Wolves 96 with that Quinn goal? If you can somehow get that onto Youtube I think that RFC should name a stand after you.

I hate the winning goal in this game. I hate Niall Quinn. I hate the fact that I'd never seen Reading beat a top flight team before and that we deserved to win this game, we were brilliant. That winning goal is horrible. Where exactly is Shaka ? Worse positional sense here than Steve Fosset. I hate the way the ball loops over him and thuds into the net in apologetic near-silence. That thud isn't actually the sound of the ball, it is the sound of my chin hitting the floor in the South Bank. Gutting.

Agreed, Floyd. That goal was as soft as shite. When the ball went in, I just screamed 'SHAKA!'. What the fu ck was he doing there? We should have won that game.

I was behind the goal at the front of the town end for this match. Saw myself on the Big Match the following day waving my blue and white scarf around
Love to see a copy of this
