Don't care as all the other fit central midfielders are woeful

Long
Beast (Hunt again was woeful today despite the goal, Celtic...shows how far they've fallen!)

I'd like:

Subs: Federici/Locke, Mills/Ingimarsson, Griffin, Taylor/D'Ath, Antonio, HRK, Church

We won't get anything like that. I predict:

Basingstoke Royal McCarthy

Cummings
Mills
Zurab
Armstrong

Kebe
Mcanuff
Ledge
Antonio

Long
Hunt

McAnuff is lost in the middle, so this won't work.

I have to admit that if I was manager of Reading I would't be giving up on a play off spot just yet - it gives off the wrong message. However, I would be so tempted to play a few fringe players to get them ready for a real go at next season...

--------------------------HUNT-----------MANSET-----------------------------
MACANUFF----------------------------------------------------------------KEBE
------------------KARACAN-------------------LEDGE--------------------------
HARTE----------------------------------------------------------------GRIFFIN
--------------------MILLS---------------------PEARCE--------------------------
--------------------------------MCCARTHY-------------------------------------

If we lose this game however, I would like to see Williams come back in for Harte, Cummings share right back duties with Griffin and Brett Williams get a few run outs from the bench. Antonio is my preferred wing option ahead of Hal Robson Kanu. Zurab is a CLASS player, however, I don't see him staying at the end of the season so we are better priming Pearce or Morrison to play with Mills instead.

Long is our best striker, but he needs a rest and would be awesome from the bench if needed. I'd also like to see a bit of Jordan Obita and Mikkel Andersen if/when the season peters out...

No one has mentioned Brett Williams yet though?

Church is off form, Hunt is horrendous, Manset is unfit and injured. Why not just randomly start him to see what he can do? Unlike the younger academy guys hes unlikely to look raw and they may be unable to impose themselves.

I would also bring in Kishinishvilli into midfield - hes a talented player and we need to get use out of him.

Also, when you aren't winning its worth rolling the dice - eg Coppell bringing in Hahnemann for Federici at the end. Cummings, Pearce (if fit), and Armstrong surely deserve a try now.

McCarthy - Armstrong, Mills, Pearce, Cummings - McAnuff, Leigertwood, Kishinishvilli, Kebe - Long, Williams
Bench Andersen, Ingimarsson, Taylor, Tabb, Howard, Antonio, Church

Because judging by the oxf*rd in Y25/26 if Williams had a bad game because he isn't ready yet he'd instantly be vilified and ruined for us.

Why McAnuff in the middle? He clearly doesn't work there.

Feds is out for a few weeks so McCarthy will be getting getting his big chance over the next few matches.
