On the way back from the game - City.

by LWJ » 13 Mar 2011 19:23

No complaints really. We played well didn't create enough really. City were really poor for the amount of money they have spent on their team. Il do ratings when I get back. But mention to all the fans in the lower tier. Stood the whole of the game and generally tried to sing throughout. Oh and I met fltr or whatever his username is. :)

Very unimpressed by the allegedly monsterous City side. They nicked a goal off of a set piece and could never breakdown our back four.

Kudos to the fans whom went...great job, we heard you guys the whole game on the television. Big round of applause to the team and fans!!!

Back from the pub. Arse. Bumsbumsbumsbumsbums. Arse.

Missed the first 15 thanks to Rugby. We never really looked like scoring. We played well and Citeh didn't really seriously threaten to score. Well taken goal from Richards, but Long and Khiz could have done better.

No shame, especially seeing as we only had two defenders on the pitch and our keeper was under 22. No body put in a poor shift, but we just couldn't hold onto the ball well enough or provide any threat upfront... couldn't get the numbers forward.

Reading fans vocal and audible on the TV. Well done all. It was a good showing, but not meant to be.

It's dark outside, so the commentary will be sparse at best from bus 18. Over and out.

What was he on then because didn't Rangers play themselves.

Bad luck anyway.

Back in me flat.. 2.5 miles in 45 mins.. Should have walked.

Absolutely gutted. We can and have played MILES better then that. We continually looked for the ball over the top and not once did we actually win the header we were looking for. Got a bit annoyed with Mcanuff.. Had a terrible game. So many wasted opportunities where he would run and then just mess about and lose the ball, or the pass he would try and make wouldn't ever reach the target.

Very shaky at the back.

It's a fair result though and I'm proud of the team.

# Alex McCarthy - 10
# Zurab Khizanishvili - 5
# Ian Harte - 6
# Jem Karacan - 7
# Brynjar Gunnarsson - 6
# Jay Tabb - 7 (Brian Howard, 86 - 6)
# Mikele Leigertwood - 8
# Jimmy Kebe - 7
# Shane Long 7
# Noel Hunt - 6 (Simon Church, 76 - 6)
# Jobi McAnuff - 5 (Hal Robson-Kanu, 62 - 6)

Reading Fans - 6 - from where I was in the upper right next to the City fans.
The bit where I was - 8

Ref - 5

In the car. An hour to get away from the car park.

Lots of 'well dones' from Citeh fans on the way out, but then they would wouldn't they? Proud of Reading but we only ever made it tricky for them. If they'd been able to finish we'd have been buried.

11 strangers on the pitch - they won't win a trophy this season.

LOL @ the team announcer not dealing with Kish

Not really, they've got a rep of being absolute dicks, so if they were saying nice things then we must have done something right.

I'm never sitting in the wrong end again.
Full credit to everyone from the fans to the impressive makeshift defence and the indomitable Brynjar. Sometimes you just can't beat the odds, and all those millions plus two holding midfielders made sure of that. What a graceless team City have become in such a short time. Jammy header from a fat right back then 20 minutes of timewasting. I'd rather have lost by 5 to Stoke to be honest.

Reckon Slammed is on about Craig Burley? Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 earlier this afternoon so McCoist wouldn't have been anywhere near the Reading game.
