Sport Economist A look at the potential Brighton might have with much reference to Reading and Gus Poyet's remoured decision to stay put from the Two Unfortunates. Warning: the Brighton fan's comments on us might cause a few seizures on here!

Its a crap article, the two clubs are identical in size. How they could suggest they have more potential is just bullshit as well. We are next to London our catchment area is equally as big.

Indeed, as another article from the same site argues, being close to other, bigger clubs is actually beneficial in attracting loan players and other spillover benefits. When has having a large catchment area ever helped Plymouth for example? Whereas the likes of Wigan and Bolton have had long spells of Premier league football despite being close to Manchester and Liverpool.

It's possible that Brighton have already hit a plateau.

3 for the first half but had an OK second one, probably because Arsenal had given up by then...

Blog for ESPN - how this single match contained all the elements that sum up Reading's whole season : Season summed up in a single game as Reading fail again

On ESPN - thoughts on how Madejski's comments today have just caused confusion and dropped the club in it : Farce as Madejski muddies the pre-match silence waters
