Fair play lads. It was a lovely gesture and I'm sure he was touched by you efforts.

floyd__streete Good work Rex and Heathrow Royal. I wonder whether this lovely banner could have been displayed by the club on match days next season instead? Could cover up some of the swathes of empty seats at bog standard Championship games next season and give the Stadium an iota of personality for a change?

Working on that one soon Floyd. Totally agree with placing up in the East stand. The club seem quite keen on the subject. These ones though will be kept and taken around to away/home games.

Great stuff Rex.

Tried to find you when we arrived at the Green Man but we couldn't see you. Great effort though and it sounds like Chris really appreciated all your efforts.

Glad you got to hand it over in person, REX. Did you get to chat with the man himself?

Yes Sarah. Such a down to earth man. I'm glad he fully appreciated the messages of good will shown by the supporters. Lets hope he doesn't start a domestic by hanging the banner in the livingroom.

I have to say the banner was brilliant. I'd really like to see Chris Armstrong be made an ambassador for the club to say thanks for everything and being a thoroughly decent bloke.

Will this banner be a permanent fixture at the stadium?

No, it's been given to Chris. I can't see him lugging it around with him to games.
