The Cap
Cheers! We've just signed Chopra from Cardiff for £1.5 million, Ivar, Pearce from Bournemouth, Cresswell from Tranmere, James Coppinger from Donny, and expected to bid for Sharp from Donny again and/or Colace from Barnsley.

Blimey Keano, buy one, get one free or what mate?

Yeah and even Paul Jewell is getting in on the act!!

Royalee
AthleticoSpizz YungLee, by definition of his injury time out...yes

but

at just what part of our successful run that included him are you on about exactly?

The part where he got absolutely raped in our second season in the Premiership and has looked poor ever since. He was awesome before that though.

That's a damn serious allegation, and I am reporting this to Graham's attention.

Rape allegations are serious and this is most certainly not the place to be chucking them about. Pls delet this post.

ITFC_Keane Hi folks

Reports in deepest Suffolk would suggest we're signing Ivar Ingimarsson on a free. Now, you all know me, I'm not one to gloat and all that, just genuinely interested in your opinion of the bloke. Will he add something to our team? Is he a decent bet for another season of Championship footy?

Thanks

could do a job on a 1 year deal i think. Still had something to offer at Reading, but we are trying to push through Pearce and Morrison to partner Mills.

Has not played much for us in the last 2 seasons but prior to that I would describe him as calmness personified. Class act and he will love it at Portman Rd. If you can get him fit, and keep him fit, he will do well for you.

I think he'll do a decent job. He looked steady enough but his age/injuries were showing at times (i.e Palace away) I think I'm right in saying that this will be his first full pre-season since 2008 though so with that behind him and the prospect of a new challenge I wouldn't rule out him having a good season.

Model pro, and a great bloke to boot.

One of the best CB's RFC have had in many a decade.

We've taken unwanted defenders off Ipswich before, Makin and Harding iirc.

Good luck to Ivar. He should get a great reception if he plays at the Madstad next season.

Although I undertstand the reasons why the club let him go I just hope this decision does not backfire on us.

Sorry folks, looks like we're after Noel Hunt as well now!

Better than Church, not as good as Long. Is that about right? Chopra and Hunt up front....could be goals galore in that partnership.

Add Wickham to the mix (if he stays) and you've got a forward line brimming with potency.

Dunno about others. We were turned down for Pearce from Bournemouth (apparently only offered £650k). Oh, and a rumour we've heard about you is that you're happy to sell Hunt because you're bidding for Luke Varney....

My main criticism of Ivar is how "basic" he is. Granted he doesn't make many mistakes but he will rarely take a touch in defence and just boots it out for throw ins or corners.

He is the definition of "IF IN DOUBT, KICK IT OUT"

I just don't think a Championship Centre back should be "in doubt "as much as he is. 7 or 8 times a game he will hoof something out of play instead attempting to take a touch. But like I said, rarely makes a mistake and is therefore solid as a rock.

Not sure I agree with that, after the goal Varney scored against us at Charlton. I know someone who played at Crewe with Varney--he's none too bright, apparently.
