Just preparing us for when Long goes and HRK steps up to be a striker.... with Obita replacing him on the bench.

Perhaps it might be a better position for him anyway.

Didn't he normally play as a striker in his academy days? And I think he played up front for Sw*ndon when he went on loan to them. Personally I was surprised to see him on the wing when he first broke into the 1st team. And was it 6 goals last season? Not bad for a 3rd choice "winger"... shows the boy knows how to finish.

HRK thinks he is a striker? Snowball thinks he is a best-selling author, doesn't mean that he is.

To be fair, Tyson was always and (more often) miss for us, too. It was only when hemoved away, and switched to playing up front, that he hit his piotential.

So, he also had to drop to Div 2 to realise his potential...

HRK achieved more at Reading last season than Tyson did in years. He scored more goals last season than Tyson has in the last 2 years. He was a bit part winger. He's been free scoring in pre-season. He's definitely an option up front, as well as either wing.

Kanu's tweet was obviously a little bit tongue-in-cheek although I agree with Zac that he might be used more upfront this season than we've seen previously, especially if Long goes without another first team forward being brought in.

That doesn't mean he's quite good enough for the role or that he's not primarily a winger. Lots of players are played in different roles over their careers.

He looks sharper and more dangerous up front than Manset does, or at least, he did last night.
