Thanks for the great moments in both FA Cup runs, the super-sub moments in your early days, and for the last year and a half where you've been unplayable at times. I was traveling to Ireland from Japan in 2005, and have read a newspaper in Cork that two boys going to move from Cork City to Reading.
Doyle was pretty much established goal scorer locally by that time, but not Long.
Since then, it has been pleasure to see two irish lads to be acknowledged football players by both Premiership and International level.
It has been a great journey with you Shane. Your hard work and willingness to contribute to the team will always make your way like this time. I will be supporting you wherever you go!
