Another game, another goal. Puts us one up against Exeter. He's like a (goal) machine.

Just a thought, but is playing the Uni any different from playing amongst ourselves in training?

I'm not saying we are at their level, what I mean is surely a game against the local Uni is about as competitive and testing as most of the kick abouts we have in training every week. If it adds a bit of variety and helps out the local community then why the big fuss?

Back to Cedric, any game time is good game time, be it against Exeter or someone naff like the Uni or Oxford United. He just needs match fitness and an opportunity to settle in.

I would expect our under 17's to beat reading uni. This is just a stupid debate in general though. We obviously didn't play them for a competitive skilled match, moreso just a runout. I don't think its anything for the " community" too as most people at the Uni won't even be from Reading and will support other teams, its not like the US when most people go to Uni in the same state, most of Reading Uni's students will be from somewhere like Wigan  If they want to give something to the community, go and play a secondary school, or do some free training days in primary schools. But anyway is such a non story...who cares. Move on.

The development squad manage what the Luftwaffe couldn't.

Who is next to rise to the Challenge?

The GB Rowing squad? The Abbey School U16? A select XI of accountants and estate agents from the Reading Professionals League? Apparently Jay Tabb is quitting football to become a PE teacher, he could bring a team over. But maybe Cummins can hang around a park going "any of you lads want a game?"

But against Exeter that boy Baseya is not just answering his critics, hes cupping his ears at them! And this was a real team this time. He will score his first real goal at this rate!

Interestingly, a game against the RAF doesn't represent the first fixture we have played against one of HM Services:

Played at the intimidating Arborfield Garrison, big result that day.

"Also, Alan Pardew played the whole game and Nicky Hammond came on as a left winger in the second half. The biggest shock of the day was that Hammond managed to remain injury-free."

Tough place to go. The Army may have lost but aparently they won the Territorial battle.

Lol I love the fact that despite all the slagging, this guy has scored in every game he's played. If manset gets a knock, expect ceders to make the bench
