Stood with arms outstretched in the arrogant posture of a man about to have his ego slapped around his face when we win.

Directly in front of - and to - the away supporters, though.

football has a funny way of biting people on the arse. Last night's win is a slight on Bristol City - one day, Brett Pitman might just break his leg against us or have a serious injury. I for one hope I'm there to see it, when I shall mount the pitch and stand over him ungracefully with my arms outstretched too, shouting 'KARMA'

Totally embarrassing for 70 minutes of the game. Making a dreadful Bristol City look good. The defence was particularly exposed time and time again. Mills and Pearce had particular 'mares and there was even some rather obvious unrest about the team from the away support.

Then, just as at Coventry (another poor side that were made to look great by a distinctly average Reading performance), Robson-Kanu comes on and balance was restored to the force and actually looked like we might be able to string a pass or two together. Once we scored I think City hit the the panic button and couldn't get themselves organised.

For the 'boro game I would drop Hunt to the bench, start Robson-Kanu (or knowing Heston it'll be Kebe is he's fit). Also I'd restore Harte to the defence, think seriously about Pearce's position and perhaps replace Leigertwood with Karacan.

Tony Le Mesmer Dear lord.

Caught sauntering out of position on numerous occasions in the 1st half. Almost embarrased himself when failing to deal with the ball running wide at start of 2 nd half instead of just getting rid. At fault for their 2nd goal. In fact i think every Bristol attack game down our right. They clearly targeted him as our weak spot. The guy is average at best and does not have aclue how to get the basics right when defending. I have no idea why people big him up.

Yep, fair enough.

Pitman stood in front of away end with arms outstrecched. Dont have a problem with that, just spices things up nicely. He was the best player on the pitch anyway, would walk into our team.

Tony Le Mesmer Not saying hes not as good as Griffin (this year), or that he should be dropped. Just dont know what people see in him. His positional sense is absolutely terrible and left us open time and again in the 1st half. That said MIlls and Pearce were utterly inpet last night so im not singling him out.

Who did he have supporting him in front of him? Was it Hunt? If so, enough said.

yeah, if hunt is playing as part of a three, or even as the nominal winger he tends to stay up there, meaning mills would probably have been instructed to stay back

Any reason why Churchy went off for HRK, and not Hunt? BM seems to want to squeeze Hunt in whenever he can but not convinced his starting place is deserved at the moment.

Preston home was Forster. Mackie had scored the equalizer 5 minutes earlier.

I think the most important thing to say about this game is: BROFListoLOL City. They should have been 4 or 5 up before McAnuff scored and then they totally folded, it wasn't as if it was fantastic Reading play which put them under pressure, our three goals all looked to be very soft ones.

Reading were absolute dogsh*t for the first 70 minutes and should have been dead and buried. Federici by far and away our MOTM; I said earlier this week that he makes the easy look difficult, conversely he also makes the difficult look easy at times and he pulled off some excellent saves when we were being pulled apart with ease at 2-0. Reading were a disgrace defensively: Pearce and Cummings gave away a quite pathetic 2nd Bristol goal, Mills is even worse than his brother and I can't see the fuss about Gorkss thus far (that said, playin alongside Pearce can hardly help - flat-footed, ponderous liability this season. Drop him). We had precious little creativity other than lumping the ball into the corners, which makes the decision to play with one recognised winger last night even more ridiculous. There was far, far more to be concerned about than pleased about last night. Defend like that against Boro and we'll lose 5 or 6-0.

Additonal:

- The Le Fondre chant is catchy enough with added bonus of gay hand movements which will please our gimp fanbase.
- Is that the first league away game we have come from 2 goals down to win since Darlington in 1991/92, Strap?

Tony Le Mesmer Pitman stood in front of away end with arms outstrecched. Dont have a problem with that, just spices things up nicely. He was the best player on the pitch anyway, would walk into our team.

Saw him a lot at Dean Court and he's a fantastic player, one who excites the crowd and tries things that most wouldn't. I'd love to see him at Reading as he doesn't hold a regular place in the 'City team. However, with Maynard due to be sold soon I doubt that'd be possible.

70 minutes of awful football. 20 minutes of football that we want to see every week. First 70 minutes was long-ball all the way. Main culprit of this was Alex Pearce who kept aiming for McDermott. Chruch and Le Fondre were nowhere in the first half. Federici, despite all of his good saves, still lacked the command of the area that is needed to be a top keeper.

What does Jay Tabb actually offer going forward? Can't see why we dropped Karacan and replaced him with Tabb who offered nothing last night.

Fantastic celebrations/atmosphere at the end. The City fans next to us were giving it the big'un until we gave it back to them when our third goal went in. Fantastic finish and fantastic scenes at the end :D

other than tabb being in a winning team, and playing in our "run" of 3 good results(if not good performances)
not a vast ammount. BBCRB were saying he was good in second half.
tbf i think our midfield problem is ledge, not the other spot.
