Marcus Williams - Permanent transfer....

by Wycombe Royal » 12 Oct 2011 16:47

Couldn't see this anywhere else:

Meanwhile defender Marcus Williams, 25 has had his loan move extended by a further month and the club have also learned that Reading have agreed to a permanent deal once the transfer window re-opens in January.

Very small minded responses regarding this from some.

The facts are we thought he could do a job for us on a free transfer but it has not worked out. All of us should simply say good luck to him and hope he does well at Sheffield. I am sure he has tried his best at RFC and it must be very disappointing for a professional player to be told he does not fit in the manager's plans.

So good luck MW - hope the move works well for you.

:| right back at you. I bet he isn't.

Can't all go right, we took a punt and this time it didn't work. I'd expect Brian to be doing exactly the same as most of those on the thread, wishing him good luck and being pleased to help him move on to further a career that wasn't going anywhere here, at this level.

A short and not very sweet first team career at RFC. Cheers for the memories Marcus...of you being raped, pillaged and murdered by Chris Zebroski.

Writing was on the wall from then on really, old boy.

He never came close here to a place here.. More interesting, his transfer says a lot about how Sheff U perceive themselves right now. Low ambition.

Agreed and/but never looked likely to do one either. But then again neither did Cummings to start off with!

Anyway good luck to him.

if you are considered a veteran at 25,,then well, yes

However, Williams "failed" at 23/24 years of age....Cummings comes good at 22
