How?

Reading v Watford was my first fixture. My pleasure from watching those teams play is purely derived from the fact that it was my first fixture - nothing else.

What was your first fixture? If Reading play that team, don't that make you think about the first time you saw the Royals?

LoyalRoyalFan The worst result had to be the 2-0 loss at home in the Premiership. Coupled with this was the fact Watford had already been relegated and if we had only drew the game we would have been in Europe

I took my QPR supporting wife and her youngest to that match to see a Premiership game. ........... say no more!

2 best memories of away games at Watford

Nicking a steward's hat in the 0-0 Premiership game, nearly getting kicked out and then passing out at the back of the stand for the 2nd half.

Apr 10 game that we lost 3-0, giving Heidar Helgusson a load of verbal when he was right in front of us due to him not signing for us the other year, of which he heard 100% of it

As I recall our current run v Watford is pretty appaling, in the last 11 games we've won 1, drawn 6 and lost 4. And I think pretty much every one of those games was pretty awful fare to watch (aside from perhaps the 4-0 at home in 2009 or the sheer comedy in the 2-2 at VR earlier that season)

Seeing as my first Reading game was against Bristol Rovers in 98/99, I can assure that it gives me no pleasure what-so-ever.

If you're going it's best to get smashed. I recall going to a Watford v Reading game once and nearly got arrested for having the audacity to ask a policeman to move or take his tit helmet off so I could see the game. I was told I'd be thrown out if I carried on. Good to see the police force as friendly and helpful as ever.

Everything about this fixture (supported by comments in this thread) screams out at me - don't go :|

But what if this one time the game is a classic?
There must be one at some point, where we are 2-0 down with 20 minutes to go and come back to nick it in the closing seconds.
What if you don't go and you missed that?!

I think someone asked whether Watford fans dread this fixture as much as we do. All those I know quite look forward to the one at Vicarage Road because of our poor record against them on their home turf.
