why can't i edit my post?

anyway, west ham boo'd their team off today after a 0-0 with palace. what utter morons!

Allardyce pleads for patience

West Ham boss reflects on boos after draw; Freedman satisfied

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... r-patience

perhaps they're looking at our form and worrying.

i would love it, love it, if we pinched second spot at their expense!

Only 8 points between West Ham and 8th, and Brighton, Reading, Birmingham and Blackpool are all in better form (if only marginally in most cases).

West Ham and Saints could yet both end up in the play offs.

If they end up in the play-offs I'd be praying we go up auto.

Is that a record for us?

On the assumption you need educating. In 2005/6 we won 10 games on the bounce and went about 33 without defeat. In 86/7 we won 13 games in a row from the start of the season.

The 106 season was about phenomenal consistency, and drawing where this season's side has defeats.

But if you look at the 14-Game moving average (average points for 14 games 1-14, 2-15 etc)

The 2005-06 side reached a high of 2.60 points-per-game except for a single week where they hit 2.73

This cobbled-together side is utterly remarkable. The 14 point MA recently is

2.00
2.20
2.20
2.40
2.40 ppg (we are 2.44 ppg over the last 15)

If we beat Portsmouth and Leicester (big IF) we will then have moved to 2.6 points per game,

basically matching the 2005-6 side except for that one week

To actually pass 2.73 ppg we have to win our next 7!!

if West Ham win their Game in Hand 2-0 and we do at Doncaster...

1 P34 67 Points West Ham
2 P34 65 Points Southampton
3 P34 63 Points Reading

And if Portsmouth then fail to fulfill fixtures

2 P33 64 Points Southampton
3 P33 63 Points Reading
3 P32 61 Points West Ham

Could be very interesting, but we still will need to win at one of those or draw at both.

15 more points will see us in the Playoffs. Can see us being 3 closer after Tuesday.
