tomasz cywka

by TheWearing » 14 Feb 2012 08:41

tomasz cywka wont play tonight due to a gentlemen's agreement, not to play against his former club.
Meaning our third choice LB will be playing at LM. HRK, Jobi and Antonio all out.

No idea what it is all about! Cywka must think that if he played it would be disrespectful towards them?

If this is actually true then it's a joke! If Clough didn't want him then there should be no such agreement. Send the boy out and smash the Derby oxf*rd!

Look at the BS Clough writes. Has he forgotten he slagged Cywka off publicly?

I guess "future relations" but I'd be tempted to say, stuff "gentleman's agreement"

And surely Clough should think, "He's so crap he can't get in a side in 13th, PLEASE play him against us." ?

Just to add the point I don't think he's crap. He looks very decent to me.

I think that the agreement is between the two clubs, not Cwyka and Derby......

Obviously if he were on loan but he was released/allowed to leave/transferred.

Maybe just bollocks/paper talk but I thought this kind of shit was outlawed - third party influence over team selection.

Do we still have just Fordham's copy and paste job from the Derby Telegraph saying this is true?

Anything official from the club yet?

It is official! So, who will be his replacement on the bench? Howard, Samuel, Manset, Anton Zingervich

Is it even legal? Thought you had to play your best possible team at all times so you don’t disrespect other teams :?

No, I suspect BMac will be in hand cuffs before the day is out.

(And not just because it's valentines day)

That Friday Feeling Obviously if he were on loan but he was released/allowed to leave/transferred.

Maybe just bollocks/paper talk but I thought this kind of shit was outlawed - third party influence over team selection.

I thought it had been outlawed too after a similar 'gentlemans agreement' between Everton & United when Tim Howard joined Everton...

Deffo seems strange after Clough basically forced him out

I have a feeling this is something that shouldn't have been publicised...

If this is true, I am absolutely amazed it's been spoken of. It makes us look like utter mugs, so I'd be very surprised if part of this "Gentleman's agreement" was that it cannot be publicised, and the local rag has just published it!

The basic premise of owning a player is that another team cannot dictate to you when or when not he is played!
