He played the full 90 minutes a few times for Shanghai Shenhua, so maybe his fitness has improved?

Avon Royal Glad he's gone. No real reflection on him as a player, I just found 18,000 middle class white people shouting "Beast" at a large black gentleman really cringe-worthy.

His nickname had absolutley nothing to do with race or class!! what are you on?... It was just a fun and endearing term the fans used due to the mans build... Think someone has been watching Ukrainian football a little much this summer

On what basis do you suggest he is unfit? He is 6ft 2, strong, powerful with a bodyfat % of around 8%.

Unfit

Just about every game he ever played in showed his fitness wasn't up to scratch.

Maybe unfit to be a footballer then. Just because you have a low body fat % it doesn't mean that you are well suited to the frequent short bursts of speed required over 90 minutes from a professional footballer.

Manset Sold

by YateleyRoyal » 20 Jul 2012 15:28

Reading's Mathieu Manset has joined FC Sion for an undisclosed fee, the Premier League new boys have announced. The 22-year-old French striker joined the Royals from Hereford in January 2011 and scored five goals in 28 league appearances for the club.

Manset spent the latter stages of last season loan at Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua and has now moved to the Swiss Super League.

I hate undisclosed fees, seems more and more of our deals are undisclosed.

They paid a million pounds I heard. That plus the £600k that Chinese side paid to loan him means he has has made a club a tidy profit.

If true (which I really cannot believe) then that could be Nicky Hammonds greatest ever coup. Pay 300K and recoup 1.6M on an average player.

If Carlsberg made Director's of Football they would make Nicky Hammond......

No, they would make a flat and tasteless, barely alcoholic drink and put it in a suit.

If that's true then Hereford will be happy, as they get 10% sell-on.
