There can only be one..................

In his case though myth should be pronounced with a lisp

Robin Friday will walk this one. He is that highly regarded in these parts that even those that never saw him play, myself included, revere him.

Over 141 years of history and the one name that keeps cropping up is his. Tells you something...

Yeah saw him play for Hayes before he joined and a true legend.Think Trevor Senior is worth a shout though, pound for pound ,our best ever striker in my view.

Is this one a no-brainer with Robin Friday?

Probably,

His goal against Tranmere will live long in the memory of all the 78,000 that were crammed into Elm Park that night.

I think you will find that there were more than that on the South Bank. :o

I couldn't go becuase I had been off school sick and apparently wasn't well enough. I''m hoping one day that my memories will start getting confused and I'll think I was there.

It's Robin Friday

Honorable mentions to Horrix, Senior, Caskey and any number of Championship-winning superstars, but it has to be Friday.
