Snowball If we lose the three home games to QPR-Wigan-Villa, one point per game overall may not be enough

We need to beat these sides.

We MIGHT get away with drawing, but home defeats will be very serious

I think QPR, Villa, Wigan and Saints are all capable of winning on our patch

Yes but we have only lost 3 out of 13 at home to Man U, Arsenal and Spurs. We are not easy to beat at home.

Enough of the winnable games. Reading throw those away. I expect wins against Arsenal, United and City and possible one more home draw.

Crap teams always take a big scalp. QPR had Chelsea, Southampton thumped City, Villa beat Liverpool and Wigan dicked Tottenham. Everton don't quite count, so it's our turn.

You're right, i'm referring to "the big six" rather than the actual best teams. That and i'm clearly clutching at straws. I recon we'll have a chance against L'pool.

Run it again on Sunday .....

What is interesting about that, though, is that on season-long form, the current figure to stay up is 33 points.

So you think that one of the other three with 24 points or less are going to end up with at least 38? I've got to say I doubt it.

On average you need less than that, and this is looking like a lesser year anyway.
