There will be a minute's silence before tomorrow's game, as City pay tribute to their fans who have passed away in 2012 #readingfc

I think I'm right in saying that City do this every annual year on their last home game, paying respects to their supporters who died that year. I think they've certainly done it for the last 4 or 5 years.

Do they die in their thousands? That would explain the empty seats.

Are we sure they're not observing a minute's silnce in honour of the massacre that is about to unfold on the pitch?

Tis a grave day for all Reading fans!

every game is a sell out, not 18k or whatever your place holds but 47,000. well as long as the away side sells their tickets of course. do yourself a favour, as a visitor to the premier league just enjoy yourselves and dont fall in to the trap of being yet another plastic utd supporter.

now back on topic.

we always pay our respects at the home game over the xmas period, not just to fans but to players we have lost over the last 12 months. lost 3 close friends, all big blues . all very young. its just what we do.
i'm sure you royals will join us and take a moment of reflection, we are all very lucky to be able to attend the game.

good luck and merry christmas.

as a visitor to the premier league just enjoy yourselves

With this sort of arrogance are you sure you aren't a Utd fan???
How long ago were you in the 3rd tier?
Without the Arab oil cash you would still be shit... and no, I'm not jealous. I support my local team and will do so whichever league we fall into, and would rather watch a team where the obscene cash of top PL clubs is not thrown about.

+1. Most Man City fans are plastic oxf*rd.

Look at the empty seats and that was only 6 years ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bw6pNPioQw

They introduced it a few years ago due to the high suicide rate among their fans. It does have one redeeming feature, though - every time someone dies and the club gets put under pressure to have yet another pointless minute's silence, they can just say "Wait until the last game of the year".

come on mate Reading are a team that will be lucky to survive the prem, not being arrogant at all, thats just as it is. teams like city, villa, newcastle and everton are always going to be targets for oil money but without it they and us are all most likely to be a prem side. i was here well before we struck oil, in fact i was here before ged clampet struck oil and i'll be here when the arabs move on. we have always had a fantastic supporter base considering we've been bobbins for years whilst the scum were cheating their way to trophies.
