Hello mate

I will give you a lift on the back of my motorbike...will get you to the station on time and you can stay until the final whistle. For this I will charge you the paltry sum of £30.

Let me know if you're interested.

Our players regularly need taxis, when they do offer to go halves.

sheppythedog Hi guys

Baggies fan comes in peace.

I'm hoping if you guys can help I'm going to the game Saturday by train and need a quick getaway after the whistle. I need to connect and the train leaves Reading station at 5.30 have I got any chance of getting back in time I know it's a nearly three miles to walk but someone said there is a designated bus? Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Gav

Mate, I wouldn't worry.

If you beat us, which is likely, you'll probably get a free ride in a big car with a bed and flashing blue lights.

They go pretty quick.

Ignore all the BS on here saying you'll never make it. We're back in the pub by 1710 every week.

You'll have to leave the away end early though, few mins before the 90th min. Hotfoot it to the bus queue and you'll be fine.

If the Baggies have the game won with 10 minutes to go, there'll already be a big queue for buses. best leave around the 60 minute mark!

I've often seen taxis (with their lights on) at the top of Bennet Road straight after the game - but that might be leaving things to chance a little.

Little tip.

When you leave the exit gates you can't turn left as they put up a security gate to seperate the fans. You have to go right around the stadium.

You can go left from there - but only down the hill to teh costco roundabout. You just can't walk around the back of the East Stand from there.

Yes, but there are a lot of people saying he's got no chance, he "might make it", he should get a taxi etc.

I am st8ing facts with a sureness and authority that will allow him to follow said advice and not fear he'll miss the train.

Leave five mins early, turn right, walk to the buses, at the station with 15mins to spare.

Done.

I've never left early or as soon as the whistle goes so I can't advise on that. But I can advise that if you leave a couple of minutes after the whistle and get the bus you most certainly won't make it back by 5.30.

You have little chance by bus, and not a great deal of chance on foot - i suggest you bring a bike; youll still need to leave a few minutes early due to the crowds which will slow your exit on a bike
