Hope we get to see him play again this season. He had an okay debut apart from a few wayward touches but generally you could see why we signed him. I don't see how he fits into McD's immediate plans though. Seems very happy to rotate Akpan/Leigertwood/Karacan and Jobi Mac in central positions.

Along with Guthrie, of course.

This is my concern, he's had what, a month here? Surely he should be ready to go now.

Just about.

But although it was a weird move to chuck him in straight away, one would expect him to have to wait for his chance now.

If McD insists on playing Jobi in the middle I can't see how Carrico will get a look in. Looks like we've got too many CMs now. Imagine if we'd got Sig too...

I think we should send him out on loan for a month and then hopefully he should be fit enough for the last couple of months.

It's just about fitness, it's sharpness.
Remember, this guy hasn't played 90 competitive minutes for ages.
If it was the portuguese league, he might be up to speed, but it's a different, faster league, so it'll take him longer to adjust. I'm sure he's got a role to play this season, if not he should be quality next.
Just as well Akpan settled right in.

It's 'would have'.

He's not cup-tied.

But presumably you know these things but are on a wind-up, for reasons best known to you?

Don't give a monkeys about grammar and thought he was cup tied because he was not included in the
crawley game?

How can he be cup-tied, he was (not) playing in Portugal?

In that case play him and Akpan in the middle.

Boom boom etc.
