I'm hoping Hammond is the next to leave the club, a lot if managers don't like working under directors of football

I'd imagine Gibbs will leave. He needs to tbh, clear out of the old guard.

Giannis Anastasiou to take charge at Man U maybe?

No news as of yet;

Jonny Fordham ‏@JonnyFordham
Still waiting to see whether Nigel Gibbs, Sal Bibbo, Karl Halabi etc are remaining at #readingfc

Quoted just because I hope Hammond leaves the club regardless of the latter half of your post.

Gibbs is the issue here, meant to be defensive coach, think thats where the problem is!!

Hammond can't be blamed for what's happened on the pitch ...but with BM he's equally culpable of the players recruited...having scouted a fair number this season..

...however he seems to have achieved Teflon status so I don't expect him to be shipped out ....

I will be amazed if someone comes in for the weekend. I would think it would be better to have a Caretaker Manager in place until after Mancs game. We then have the international break to sort things out. I do not think we can turn the situation around. We would need to get a result or two from these next two games to stay in touch with villa. We are probably doomed. If we are 7 points back after Arsenal with 7 to go I think it is impossible. At least the new man can have a good look and assess the squad before chopping and throwing out dead wood in May. I think that Adkins would be the man for me. I just want someone in who can play football.

Gibbs and Bibbo have to stay, can you imagine the players moral if the whole of their coaching staff are fired.

Been a MASSIVE problem all season, and not addressed. They are all over the place.

Gibbs should go, but I hope Bibbo and Dolan stay. All of their areas are successful. Halabi too seems to be doing alright.

Oxf*rd better hope Gibbs has gone with him.
Nonentity. Nothing character.

Do worse than to put Williams and Gooding in temp charge with Dellor as kitman.

Failing that appoint Gary Neville in a remote capacity. After all he got us temporarily out of the mire once before with only 30 minutes of tactics training for McDermott on MNF.

Nigel Gibbs: Gone

by Elliott » 11 Mar 2013 23:02

Reading Football Club can this evening confirm that first team coach Nigel Gibbs has left the club.

Everyone at Madejski Stadium would like to wholeheartedly thank Nigel for his valuable contribution since arriving at Reading in 2006.

Eamonn Dolan, head of our hugely successful Academy, will assume responsibility for first team matters going into our next Barclays Premier League fixture away to Manchester United.

Wow - they clearly have a ready made team lined up then.

Defensively we've been a complete fcuking shambles so probably a good thing.
