This has never been on! We already need two strikers, as we've already stated we haven't replaced Hunt yet, and Pogrebnyak all but certain to go; so there is no way the club would consider any offers for Le Fondre.

Nothing would entirely surprise me but what about Pog out for anything between 0 and 3M, Le Fondre to WBA for 5M and we bring in Sharp for 1M, Akpala for 1/1.5M and Jerome for 3M.

Personally I think that would give us a number of great options at this level (including Blackman and maybe Roberts) and it would be cost neutral at worst in both fees and wages. I like ALF but he still does not convince me when he starts a game and is, therefore, a bit of a luxury player to bring off the bench.

Changing virtually your entire strike force in one transfer window is a recipie for utter disaster.

Tosh. Every player is for sale at the right price. And if he wanted to go to a Prem team, we'd let him go.

Just like the disaster that befell at the start of the 2005/6 season then when we added Doyle, Lita and Long in Summer 2005. Oh - perhaps not - I think that worked quite well.

KITSON. Besides. We didn't have much of a strike force left other than him.

West Brom and Villa both sniffing around again apparently, makes sense with West Brom flogging Long and Villa generally light on strikers.

I can only see us selling ALF if the club are in deep financial trouble - as that would pretty much end any hope of even play offs - as we would only have one recognised striker.

Really cannot see it happening - although I suspect he will leave in the summer if we don't go up.

Just can't see us letting him go this window. We'd be left with Pog, and that's it. Blackman is looking a better player now he's out wide, but he isn't a striker, nor is Robson-Kanu. We desperately need to add a striker this window, not lose one.
