NO LONGER A RUMOUR - Wayne Bridge

by The Goat was fed » 06 Jun 2013 10:32

I'm probably the most in the know person on this entire board. Wayne Bridge will be a Reading player soon.

Seen Bridge play a few times for Brighton. Plays really well. He is calm and composed on the ball and is happy to go forward.

My sources tell me that I'm more in the know than you are.

Would be a good signing.
Is he a free agent now? If not would we buy or loan him?

Just a rehash of the rumoured move that didn't happen last year probably

Was reportedly on £90,000 a week last season.

Not sure our wage structure is one that will appeal to Wayne Bridge

With Anton's missus and Frankie from The Saturdays in the directors box it will save fans having to watch the football as well.

I'd take that for a season. And it'll piss Harry Redknapp off who sounds convinced he'll get him 'if' the QPR board back him! If they don't he said he'd walk.

Brighton will only give Poyet an £11m budget for next season, and that includes wages - or so said Poyet in an interview before his 'suspension'. They wouldn't have been paying wages like that last season.

Correct. Brighton paid £10k a week, City paid the rest.

If QPR want him we have no chance.

A simple WCBAP would have sufficed.

i.e. IQWHWHNC ... bit long, but still a nice little acronym to add to WCBAP

Leeds fans seem to think McDermott wants him up there but Bridge wants to stay South. I seem to remember McD being linked with him last summer, possibly the summer before as well. I'd be happy with him coming here. I'll believe it when I see it though.

Maybe 'Arry wants us to get Bridge so he can kick up a fuss and quit.

I would love for us to sign him. Just to see 'Arry quit QPR in a fit of rage.
