For me, Reading v Notts County at Elm Park in 1989. Lost 3-1 and sit in launched..... The 3-0 defeat at home to Port Vale in 1998 was also rather good for blanching your chairman

FA Cup second replay against Welling United at Elm Park on 19 December 1989. Went into extra time and ended up 0-0. It was December and the rain was bitter, driving and cold. I was on the open Tilehurst Road End. It was a pretty grim evening.

I drove to York the week after the Bristol Rovers 6.0. Awful game. Got lost in Leeds on the way back trying to find the M1( staying in Sheffield with a mate). Beer in the evening was good though.

FA Cup replay away at Halifax - a Tuesday night in November 1999 with the rain lashing down horizontally in the wind.

I have two off the top of my head,

Grimsby v Reading 0-0, can't remember exact year but mid 90's. Had a blinding time up there again but the match was abysmal.

Reading v Coventry 0-0, 2010. I decided to take my eldest out for the day in Reading by train, just me and her, she was looking forward to the game. It was probably the most boring game I've ever been to

Chester Away in 1989 (I think). We were totally and utterly outclassed by a terrible team. Felt I earned my brown wings that evening.

Peterborough United 3-2 Reading - the day when everything I'd ever said about Marek Matejovsky and Brendan Rodgers came to fruition.

Not really proud I went but losing 5-1 at Stockport in lashing rain in 97ish was proper rubbish

Aldershot 3 Reading 1 LDV Trophy 1991. Our last ever competative fixture against them.
