Leigertwood performed a very valuable role for Reading FC in the Championship.
He won a massive amount of second ball from the defenders and we looked a bit spineless without him.
QPR fans were on his back before he joined us for similar reasons, but lets not forget just how strong he is and that McDermott's style was long ball or out to the wings.....

sign of the times changing, have said in earlier posts that I could always see Guthrie as McAnuff replacement as skipper eventually
